Welcome New Designer: Melouise!
I'm super excited to announce that we have a new designer joining us here at DigitalScrapbook.com. You've probably seen her around as one of our super-duper moderators, Melouise Vrijhof! I'll let her tell you a little about herself:
Hi, my name is Melo. Actually it is Melouise, but nobody uses my full name. I live in a small historic town in the Netherlands. In just a few days I will be celebrating my twenty year anniversary with my husband. Together we (try to) raise our two young children, a girl and a boy. Our cross-eyed cat completes our family. I work (and have worked for the past twenty years) in the graphic design industries, as an allround graphic designer at first and a web designer for the past four years. I came across scrapbooking on ‘just another day at the office’ googling ‘scrap’ pictures (the metal kind) for a design we were working on. My screen filled with colorful designs that instantly made me happy. I opened one of them, emailed the word ‘scrapbooking’ to my home address and spent a few evenings at home reading up on this wonderful thing I had never heard of before. I was hooked instantly! That was three years ago…
I started scrapping, with freebies at first - there were so many beautiful freebies around. But making freebie-only layouts made me feel like a fraud when visiting forums and galleries, since the majority are shop-related and exclusive to paying customers. I never dared to 'join in the fun' however much I wanted to. Then DigitalScrapbook.com launched their new site a year ago. They offered a scrapbooking community for everyone. I signed up quite reservedly, but soon found myself in the forum so frequently that I decided to take on a moderator-job. I made some great friends here at the DigitalScrapbook.com community, who have given me the courage to start designing. I joined the February 2013 Retrokitchen Blogtrain and never skipped a blogtrain since. Making my own designs was never planned. And offering my designs as a DigitalScrapbook.com Designer… oh wow! I am still pinching myself daily, just to make sure this is really happening! I am simply over the moon!
She has a fun bundle to kick things off. I'm sure you will love it!
Here's some inspiration from our great creative team!

About Me
Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at DigitalScrapbook.com a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. DigitalScrapbook.com has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I am daily surprised by the turn of life’s events that has led me down this path. If you're new to the site, welcome! Here are a few tidbits about me that I hope will help you get to know me better!
I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!
I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!
If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.

Yay! Love the new bundle!!
*Warm hug* Melo I love you :D In fact, I knew it for some (well, many) days from now (I entered on your profile to look for something and it was already showing as a designer) but I pretended I didn´t not to spoil anyone. Then, when Marisa came back from Mexico I was like "when they will anounce Melo as a designer?"
Also, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your first bundle not being centered on USA weather/colors/holidays - I miss it a lot. I´ll use this one for my PL page for this week, since there´s been a storm every day here this week...
CONGRATULATIONS Melo!!! :D so exciting!!! and I LOVE the new kit, it is gorgeous!!! Love the layouts too Sharon! :)
