I would really appreciate, even just a mini kit with a biker-Harley-motorcycle theme. Orange black gray colors, maybe. Some word-art with it?
Something on the way.
It will be posted as a freebie on my blog near the end of this week! Free for 24 hours only for anyone who wants it.
OK...I took a sneak peek, Looks awesome! Just what I am looking for!!!
Cool! Too bad I don't have any motorcycling relatives...
Oh my gosh Melo! My oldest brother is a fanatic! We kinda grew up around the "biker" world, so it's something that we all were familiar with. As adults, once he could afford his own Harley, he was all over it! I'm not such a motorcycle fan, especially considering my husband almost lost his leg due to an bike accident, but I did have fun putting this kit together. I've added a few more things even since the sneak peek.
Sonja! Yay...I hope it works well for you. I'll post here again once the blog post is up.
My mom's fiance used to manage a Harley store... I have to admit when I was younger I eyed one of those soft-tail bikes - entered a raffle for one, but didn't win. I helped him out at Laconia the year before I got married (his co. was sponsoring it) and, boy, would I never do that again. I worked the ticket booth & some of the comments the guys made were very rude (show us your ---- was one of the biggest phrases said) & they'd look at you like you were a piece of meat. I know not all motorcycle enthusiasts are like that, but that festival seemed to bring the worst out.
I believe it Lizanne! From what I've heard the bike rallies are pretty wild/rowdy. Not my scene. Sadly, my brother would fit right in though.
The motorbike club guys I´ve known seems very tough when you look at them, but they´re not the kind of guys to talk improper things to women. Here, the "true" motorbike clubs use to have codes of honor and respect, in some of them the guys even bring their wives and children to the meeting... I guess I´ll have a look on your kit when It´s finished Amanda...
I finished it up tonight! yay! BUT... I just realized that tomorrow kicks off the blog train, so I'm going to wait until Monday to post this one. I don't want to overload my blog this weekend. Here's the finished product. I ended up with the papers, elements, a bunch of word art/word bits and a studded alpha. It was a lot of fun making this one. I figured out you CAN make a kit without a single flower...haha!
If you don't want to wait til Monday, just message me and I'll send a download link.
Can't wait until Monday Amanda! My brother and SIL too ride and both own Harleys and are similar to your brother & the people Lizanne ran into at the bike rally. LoL
Amanda you did a superb job! And per the above conversation....there's the good and the bad everywhere; around here there are Christian biker clubs.
@Sonja: Oh, I know that... I was referring, mainly, to the sort that attended "Laconia" (a big biker weekend here in New England, held in Laconia, NH). Laconia is generally a nice place & family-friendly except for that weekend... At our church in ME we had a regular group of Christian bikers that attended our Sat. night service. They were very nice - outgoing, laid back. Our facilities were too small to host the crowd we brought in over the weekend, so we had 3 services on Sunday & then they added the Sat. night service. We loved going to Sat. night service - you didn't have to dress up & there was a lot more energy. I miss it. Plus it was easier on the budget (not having to buy special clothes for church) & we could sleep in on Sunday morning. The one we attend up here in VT only has 1 service (on a Sunday), and I had gotten so used to being able to wear everyday clothes that I felt out of place when we started attending there.
The freebie is up! I'm happy with how it turned out. I even had time to put together a few layouts over the weekend. Fun stuff. Though my brother is a bum and never got me the pictures he said he would...lol! So I had to find some stock images online.
It's on my blog. Enjoy!
Just snagged it on your blog!
Awesome job on this kit. The bikers are gonna love it!
Thanks so very much!
Thanks so much, Mandy! I couldn't leave a message on your blog (I'm not part of any of those social media sites), so I wanted to make sure I left you a note in here... I d/l'd the biker kit - figured if I come across some pics of my mom's fiance on his Harley your kit would be the way to go.
Perfect color combo
