I was going to scrap the beautiful flowers in our backyard for this challenge, but couldn't concentrate for thinking about this wildfire burning out of control, as I type, toward our vacation home. Just hoping the facing layout won't be of the charred remains, but the priceless items are removed. So, as I tell my family, anything left is something we bought. We can buy again.
Paper and mask from Marisa's Challenged kit. Fonts are Viners Hand and Pieces of Eight.
Photos are from news channel websites. (You think I'd get that close?!)

What an awful thing to have happen. I love the layout and the feeling you get for the men that do this job. Thank you to them and praying for everyone in the midst.
Thank you all for your kind comments and good thoughts for our house surviving the fire. It's still a worry, may go on for weeks, but at least it's not our prime home. We are just so grateful to the firefighters who are putting themselves at risk to battle this blaze.

I saw this on the news over the weekend, and saw how contained it was. Hopefully they will get this under control!! Nicely laid out.

Powerful page Harriett - your stoical attitude is admirable and I really hope things turn out well for you. Fire is so destructive and frightening!! All that poor wildlife :(
Awesome page! I do so hope you home has survived this! Fire is my worse fear; but I too have scrapped a page like this from a massive wildfire here in my area a few years ago that got started on "Earth Day" of all times!! It raged on over acres and miles for more than three weeks until we got some heavy rains. My heart goes out to you for your worry, and your attitude is wonderful in the face of devastation.
