About Me
Hey there,
I'm Janet. I was born and raised in Minnesota. In 2002 I met my dear hubby and in 2009, after a long wait we had our first baby girl, Annelyse. Then this past February we were surprised with the early birth of our second daughter, Sophia who was born three months premature. When I'm not taking care of my crazy, sweet, spunky, girls, I run my photography business. I must have ran across pixel scrapper early on when it was first started. I downloaded a few things but then got busy taking care of my first baby girl. Now I'm coming back and am very thankful for the resources that you provide. It's tough to find quality, free of charge, digital papers, layouts, and assets that can be used for commercial purposes.
Description
This coming Spring my beautiful niece will be getting married! I can hardly believe she's old enough to move onto this phase of her life. For goodness sake, I remember changing her diapers not all that long ago. That said, I know that they make a fantastic couple and I have no doubt that they can weather whatever comes their way.
This is one of the engagement photos that we took this past fall.

I really like the concept of the radiating papers at the top and bottom. Great job.
A beautiful layout! I love the quilt-like placement of the pages used in the background. You did a great job with the elements and the contrasting black and white photo.
I love how the picture goes all the way across the page and the glitter scalloped border. Also really nice use of the delicate looking wordart. Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks so much ladies...just love my niece to bits...so it was fun to be able to do a layout that includes her. :)
@Emily, I always create my page layouts from scratch with as many templates/layer masks as possible. That way I can reuse designs with different kits. So, to answer your question, this particular layout didn't take all that long. That said, some designs definitely take longer. My most recent one (Collegeville Orchards) took much longer due to the shadowing, the non-repeating patterns, creating some items from scratch, and the amount of layers involved. Again, it's a template though...so I should be able to use it in the future for other kits.
Oh, and one more thing...before I design a layout I look at the kit I want to use. From there, I find the photo(s) that would suit the kit. Finally, I dig through my Pinterest layout love folder to look for layout inspiration that would suit the kit/picture.
I love this page, the radiating papers the black & white photo with just the red heart--divine! Great job!
Cute photo and really neat layout!
Love this layout and the arrangement of your papers into a rays. So eye catching and visually appealling.
I love this layout! It really stands (positively) out and the sunshine burst draws your attention immediately towards the beautiful picture. Great job!
So cool!!
Love it! :]
I love all the glitter!
Love this! Love the paper rays, and the b&w photo with the glitter heart.
I love it, Janet! I think that is the absolute perfect layout to showcase that photo. It just makes her glow even more.
As always, you have such a knack for putting together beautiful layouts! Do they take you a lot of time, or does it just all come together for you easily?
I really love this layout. The sunshine burst pattern is great and the colours really are amazing.
