I'm a freelance editor, writer and photographer. I picked up cardmaking as an art hobby more than 25 years ago. That led to scrapbooking, but really took off when digital scrapbooking software started popping up on the market. It dovetailed well with my career and has sparked an interest in developing skills as a graphic designer. You all are so talented; you inspire me! I live in the beautiful state of Montana where I work from home. My get-out-of-the-house job is working part-time running exercise classes at a local weight-loss center. I love sports, flyfishing, cardmaking, gardening, and walking my favorite beagle. My goal is to become better at making digital content rather than using what others have created so I can give back to this wonderful community of scrapbookers.
Our beagle must have an internal clock that tells her dad is going to be home from work, and late every afternoon, she climbs up on the back of the couch and watches intently out the big picture windows until she sees his truck round the corner toward the house. Let the tail thumping begin....I tried to capture the longing look in her eyes in these photos. This dog cracks me up every day, which is part of the reason why I produced a dog-love theme for the February 2014 blog train. I used elements from four different Be Mine kits: Marisa's glitter square scatters, theemilyfiles heart paper, watercolor heart from honeyandcheese.com, plus my paper background, heart and dog bone embellishments available on my FB page https://www.facebook.com/WordCritterCreative. Font is Pass the Chex, from kevinandamanda.com.
