I love the mountains and being outside
I went to Africa for a whole day once
I have an awesome husband named Bill
I love to look at pictures, my own and everyone else's
I randomly open fridges - yep - everywhere I go - I don't even know why and most of the time I open it and close it and can't even tell you what was in there - maybe it is my subconscious making sure I will have food if I am stuck there for a few days - very strange - I don't get it

That big photo is pretty fantastic. What this layout is missing is some white space. I'd probably cluster the small circles over the big circle, around the edge maybe? Also the title is pretty small and blends in with the photo. The purple is a nice compliment to the photos, good choice!
first of all- how in the world was the big pic even captured?! it's awesome! and this page definitely doesn't seem like beginner level, kudos! you asked about making pics standout- i'd go with a simple color/ contrast adjustment (dark BG= light pic). as for journaling, since the page is all circular- maybe try using a text path tool to enbed the words in the photo (so it follows the semi-circular line of the photo). unless they're too hard to read, perhaps make the letters white (due to snow)?
