About Me
I'm normally a pretty upbeat person and enjoy the place I am in my life. I have made some awesome changes lately! I have recently retired from a job I've had for 29 years, and I have even relocated to another state for my second career - growing an orchard and a vineyard, and spoiling my lab, Murphy. I love documenting our genealogy, so scrapbooking is more than just a hobby; for me it is a very critical legacy for future generations. My passion for graphic design fits right in with my mission to capture the stories and photos of past generations. I am married to a great guy, and we have a blended family of seven grown children and 14 grandchildren...

While in Maryland I took a trip to see the Antietam Park, the site of the civil war battle on Sept. 17th, 1862. It was a terrible battle that took over 22,000 lives - but it was a pivotal event in Abraham Lincoln's confidence in releasing his "Emancipation Proclamation". I took this photograph while there - it is such a quiet, eerie place.

I really, really love this layout! Good use of "white space". It gives me another idea for my vintage layouts!
