I came to digital scrapbooking by way of Project Life, which I did in physical form for the first year and am now trying out doing digitally. So I'm very new to all of this, and very excited to be learning! You can follow along with my Project Life adventures (and find all my blog train goodies and other freebies) at my blog, Scrumptiously: http://eversoscrumptiously.wordpress.com/
This is a layout I would never normally make - hurray for the Layout-a-Day challenge! I don't usually do a whole page layout to scrap just one photo, and I generally shy away from the sentimental. I'm such a cynic.
But my challenge for this layout was to pick 5 kits and use a piece from each: 1st kit: the second paper, 2nd kit: the fourth paper, 3rd kit: the first element, 4th kit: the fifth element, 5th kit: the second element. Then I picked a random week from my photo files and pulled out a photograph that looked like it would go with these colors. It ended up being really fun! When else would I end up making a page about fish? Or one about love, for that matter?
