To start this spread I do some tearing of some of the papers in my junk journal and I create a pocket by taping one page to another. I create a tag to fit in the pocket and then do some embellishing. Some labels and floral embellishments finish off this spread.

I begin this spread by taping down two sides of a piece of paper in the journal to create a pocket. I cut a tag to fit in the new pocket and embellish it with a photo and some scraps. Then I work on the left side of the spread.

What's A Junk Journal

If you haven't seen the news yet, we're planning a Creative Lockdown Challenge starting on April 15th (see more details here). I was just sitting down to my desk to do a little crafting and a super fun idea came to me and I thought I'd share my new plan for the challenge. I will confess to being a bit obsessed with scrapbooking. I do digital pocket pages, I keep a paper junk journal, and I also do hybrid spreads in a travelers notebook.

Adapting an envelope in my junk journal to a more useful pocket. I cut a piece of paper to fit in the pocket and then make a little layout on it.

In this spread I’m finishing off the right side of my notebook by adding in a photo at the bottom and lining up a bunch of labels in a vertical line. A little ribbon finishes everything off.

In this video I make a little pocket with a piece of paper from the journal. With two photos I make a little tag to stick in the pocket. On the left side of the page I tape down a paper for the background. I stick down my photo and add some decorative ribbon.
