Our safari was two parts: first in Naboisho, and then to Lake Nakuru National Park (where unlike Naboisho, we did have to stay on the roads). Lake Nakuru is famous for being one of the few places where you can see rhinos and also for having a lot of birds, including the occasional flamingo.

Over Christmas we traveled to Amman, Jordan to see Jordan's family, and since we were so "close" we decided to also visit Kenya, something we've wanted to do for a while since Jordan's sister has been living and teaching there for three years now. Our tenth wedding anniversary is coming up and we decided it was a good time to take a once in a lifetime trip. And it certainly was. I'm not even sure how exactly to write about it here. So here's a giraffe crossing the road:
