February 2018 Pocket Pages

Going ahead with my 2018 pocket spreads, here are the ones for February. I shared about my 2017 album how much I liked that it all fit into one book, unlike previous years which needed several books. I also thought with all the baby photos I may not make it into one book again. However, I've been thinking about it and I really like having one book, especially if this is a project I plan on continuing for any length of time, I like the idea of having a year in a book. And really this shouldn't be too hard. The book takes 100 pages, and there are 52 weeks in the year, which means that only a couple weeks need to be shortened down to single page spreads. I can do this! I did one this month! I already did one in January. I'm practically there! Also, I'm branching out into other scrap projects and thinking more about doing a baby book, so I can be a bit choosier about my photos for these weekly spreads, and use the unused photos for other projects.

@Marisa - thank you! I knew I had the cards but no matter how I searched my computer, I couldn't find them & it was driving me nuts not knowing what/where they were.

What a great idea, although I would also struggle with choosing the photos. I guess you would have to discipline yourself to remembering that you are showing the highlights & for bigger themes doing a different book.

What gorgeous pages! I really love your balance between photos & decorations - neither overwhelms the other. What cards/kit did you use for week 6? I know I've seen them/have them but can't figure out what they're from!

Love your pocket pages. The offset numbers in black are really great. I think keeping it to one book is a good idea but I can understand the struggle.

Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at DigitalScrapbook.com a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. DigitalScrapbook.com has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!

I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!

If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.
