Life Update: Arrived in Oregon

It's been a busy couple of months! Those of you who've been around a little while know that Jordan and I have been in the process of relocating for the last two months. We left Amman, Jordan (our home of two years) at the beginning of June and have been making our way across the States: Minnesota to Colorado and now finally to Oregon where we're planning to stay at least a year, if not forever...

Life on the road has been busy, and I'm looking forward now to a slower pace as we try to settle in. Trying to adjust to life here in Corvallis may not be super smooth, but we are spending a couple weeks out on the coast first, where we hope to catch up on some DigitalScrapbook.com things before trying to clean out the house and then move in our own stuff that's been packed away for the last 5 years. It's an overwhelming prospect and I'm glad we have these couple of weeks to catch up on the last months before jumping into something new.

I finally got around to updating my photo a day project. It's really fun to have this at-a-glance calendar of where and what we've been up to during these very busy months. I'm looking forward to sharing a few more details about our trip here on the blog over the next couple of weeks.

Wow you sure have been busy, good luck on the settling in. we move here two years ago and I have finally gotten everything where I want it [I think] Unpacking boxes you have had stored for that long should be almost like Christmas Enjoy

I knew you were in the process of moving but boy have I missed a lot. I will definitely be going back and checking out the journey over to the states as I am able to. Expect comments that way behind. Glad to see that you have both arrived save and sound in your new home locale. Love the day at a glance calendar to commemorate the journey--very cool!

Nice photo packed calendars. I had family who lived in Corvallis. It's a beautiful and friendly town. I remember visiting the coast while I was there.

About Me

Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at DigitalScrapbook.com a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. DigitalScrapbook.com has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I am daily surprised by the turn of life’s events that has led me down this path. If you're new to the site, welcome! Here are a few tidbits about me that I hope will help you get to know me better!

I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!

I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!

If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.
