My 2019 Photo Book

(The book featured in this post was provided free of charge by MPix for me to review. Thoughts and opinions are my own.)

I finally got my 2019 Photo Book printed! This is the fifth year I've completed a pocket style album and seeing the collection grow on my shelf definitely keeps me motivated.

The biggest issue I have is that I love creating these giant collages for the cover, but the only software I can find that will do this is Picasa, which is a defunct program and will someday not work for me anymore. If you know of a program that will create a collage from hundreds of photos, let me know!

MPix.com has been printing my photo books since I started making these pocket albums and I always love the result. The colors are beautiful, the pages lie flat and feel lovely to flip through. I've got a tip that the premium panoramic books are going on sale on June 12th through the 14th. So if you have a book you've been thinking about printing, now is a good time to get organized!

Thanks for taking a look today. If you have any questions about my digital pocket pages, let me know in the comments below. I'm working on a FAQ post.

@Sharin: Thanks! It's really hard to find somewhere that will make such a big collage.

Wow, that collage on the cover is amazing. You sent me looking and I found that Pic Monkey allows you to do collages in a template that you choose.

@Marisa - I did my last mosaic book cover using Photoshop Contact sheets. It took a bit of playing around with the settings, but I ended up changing the height and width options to get an even grid with no spaces, then added a stroke to all the photos to add the grid lines.

@Chloe: I just made two square collages, so you just need to decide how many photos you want in a row. I did 15, which makes for 225 photos. But you could easily do fewer rows and require less photos.

@Terri: My mom made me make my own scrapbooks ;)

I just love, love, your 2018 and 2019 covers. How did you determine how many pictures (mosaic) it would take to cover your albums. Thank you in advance for your help.

this is such a good idea. I don't know why, but I always poo pooed Scrapbooks when my kids were growing up. Now I wish I had made them. I still have old snap shots, maybe I still can.

@Linda: It's 10x10, which I prefer to 12x12 since it fits shelves and laps more easily.

What a great collection! Is that 12x12? Thanks for the tip on the printer.
