My Favorite Christmas Music
I love Christmas music, and every year I await anxiously the arrival of December so that I can start playing it all day long. Here are my favorites Christmas albums:
1. The Steels - This Must Be Christmas
This is definitely the classic album of my family. The Steeles are a regional group from Minneapolis, so unfortunately I think this is a hard one to track down, but it's absolutely my favorite and it could not be Christmas without it.
2. Amy Grant - Home For Christmas
Another album I've listened to for a long time. It brings back lots of Christmas memories of puzzle working and singing.
3. Justin Bieber - Under the Mistletoe
Obviously, a newer addition to my list, and I have to admit that now it's one of my favorites. The album has some fun renditions of the usual songs, as well as some fun new favorites. Although, it should come with a "Mistletoe Warning" because he sure does sing about it a lot.
4. Glee - The Christmas Album
As a fan of Glee, I love of lot of the songs from the 3 volumes they've put out. Although, as with any of the songs from the show, I find it's hit or miss if I'll like it. Some of the renditions are superb, and some aren't.
5. Sting - If On A Winter's Night
I like this album to throw in a little something different to the mix. No Christmas classics here, but still a wonderful and interesting collection of songs.
What are your favorite Christmas songs?

About Me
Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at DigitalScrapbook.com a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. DigitalScrapbook.com has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I am daily surprised by the turn of life’s events that has led me down this path. If you're new to the site, welcome! Here are a few tidbits about me that I hope will help you get to know me better!
I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!
I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!
If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.

I have become obsessed with This Is My Wish, the song from the Glade commercial. I love the music and especially love the words.
I love the classics, Carol of the Bells, Wizards of Winter, Silent Night, and Bing Crosby of course.
I do love Amy Grant. This rendition of Hallelujah was one of my favourites this season: http://liftbump.com/2013/12/7262-can-literally-feel-christmas-moving-performance-hallelujah/
and of course my all time favourite it Matthew L Fisher https://www.facebook.com/matthewlfisher
Love some of those classics as well, to many to list. My daughter found a some Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra but she left them in her dorm.
I did want to mention two other contemporary groups that have become favorites in our home, with both us and our kids. This Hope, http://www.thishope.org/ (we did have all their stuff until 2003. In going after the link I see we've fallen far behind! They have some awesome A Cappella! Also the Annie Moses Band. http://anniemosesband.com/, they have awesome instrumentals! If you ever get a chance to see them on stage live, DO NOT MISS IT! The Oldest daughter hops and twists in and out of everyone while fiddling. Both of these groups are awesome.
I think I can count the number of contemporary Christmas songs I like on only one hand, and have a feeling that my tastes are probably much different than most other people here; but, we can't all like the same things :) "Fairytale of New York" by the Pogues, "Merry Christmas (I Don't Want to Fight Tonight) by the Ramones, and a duet by the Hives & Cyndi Lauper are some of my "newer" favourites. I'm most fond of the classics... Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Rosemary Clooney, Ella Fitzgerald, Peanuts/Charlie Brown, Burl Ives, the Phil Spector Christmas album (with groups like the Ronettes) is one of my most favourite. And then, less expected albums, like Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers' "Once Upon a Christmas", without that one, it simply isn't Christmas at my house! Oooh, the original Sesame Street (especially "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" & "Keep Christmas With You (all through the year)", and Raffi, too... is anyone else familiar with Raffi? And Josh Groban's Christmas album is lovely, as well. Actually, I'm pretty nuts about Christmas music! :)
I am not a big fan of Christmas music but I like "If On A Winter's Night" by Sting. And I think "And Winter Came" (album) from Enya is a good one too.
I love Michael Buble's Christmas album, and then I also have the Chipmunk Christmas albums. And I also have a Celtic Christmas and a Highland Christmas in my rotation for good background music.
I absolutely love Christmas music. There are 2,960 Christmas songs on my computer. I can go for days without a repeat. :) Some of my top fave albums are "The Season" by Jane Monheit, "Holly and Ivy" by Natalie Cole, "Star Bright" by Vanessa Williams, both Harry Connick Jr. albums, "Hey Santa!" by Carnie and Wendy Wilson, both Linda Eder albums, both Brian Setzer Orchestra albums, and many more. Love them!
I have a few hundred songs, too....a bit of the ones you listed as well, but I love the contemporary Christian ones (Meredith Andrews "He Has Come for Us", Bebe Winans & Rob Thomas "Christmas Prayer", etc.) and Trans Siberian Orchestra and Manheim Steamrollers.
On a side note, found this for your The Steeles: http://www.allmusic.com/album/this-must-be-christmas-mw0000319524
I love the Glee Christmas Album especially Baby It's Cold Outside by Blaine and Kurt!
Just checked the ipod and we have 168 Christmas songs and 56 carols but none of the above. I shall take a listen and see if they make my wishlist. :) My favourites are eclectic - I was introduced to "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas" last year by someone on the internet. It is not really known in the UK but I am addicted. I love classics - Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt, Let it snow by Dean Martin. Then there's Gaudete by the Mediaeval Babes and Merry Christmas Everybody by Slade and O Come O Come Emmanuel by Enya but if I had to chose one I guess it would be Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Judy Garland - I love the film too (Meet me in St Louis)
I have that Amy Grant Christmas CD... I have a lot of Christmas CD's, too - everything from Bing Crosby to the Rat Pack to Rosemary Clooney to "City on a Hill" to Charlie Brown Christmas (one of my favorite cd's @ Christmastime), etc. I also recently ordered Sara Groves' Christmas cd called "Oh Holy Night" (love her voice).
thanks for sharing *heart*

Amy Grant and Bieber? Ouch! lol I guess everyone's entitled to their own opinion. =) I love Trans Siberian Orchestra, Bare Naked Ladies Holidays album and classics like Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney.
I also really love the instrument versions of Christmas songs by Mannheim Steamroller and the Trans Siberian Orchestra.
My favorites are Carol of the Bells and Oh Holy Night... last year when Lea Michelle sang it on Glee I got goosebumps, it was so good!
