Pocket Pages: May & June 2019

On a scale of 1 to 10 I love this pocket project a million. It's just such an easy way to get all my photos documented, and I still love the visual. I honestly haven't changed a whole lot in five years, and I don't really expect to change much in the near future at least. I love having these pages printed and in photo books on my shelf, and I've been considering going back in time and creating books for the years before I started pocket scrapping. But I have a really hard time pulling the trigger and getting started on any project with photos from the past. I think my issue is mainly that I like having my projects be ongoing. None of the scrapping I do currently is a specific project, it's all pretty general and focused on whatever strikes my fancy at the moment. There's no finish line. But when you take on something from the past there's a clearer start and end mark, and that is off-putting for some reason for me.

Do you scrap from the past? How do you manage these kinds of projects if you do?

Catch up with my pages from January & February, and March & April.

Lovely pages! Honestly, I think the best thing for my backlog was doing that 100 days project earlier this year, since it motivated me to keep chipping away at it when I had no current photos to do. But I like keeping up with the current stuff, too.

I'm a random scrapper. If I'm showcasing a kit I'm working on I find a photo that matches. If I want to scrap a particular photo, I search for the perfect kit.

I really prefer to use current photos and not go back more than 1 year. If there is a themed kit I want to use or even particular colors in the papers I may choose my photos that way and go back further. The focus for me is documenting my grandchildren. I don't really have any other projects similar to what you do. I love your pocket pages. Especially the way you do the framing. I have tried to mimic it with only limited success lol.
