Scrapbook Flip Through: Travel Selfie Mini Album

Today I'm sharing a full mini album I made using some of my favorite selfies. The mini album, like most projects I make, is a bit overfull, but that has never managed to keep me from reigning it in. To make the main base of this album I trimmed some pieces of scrapbook paper to 8.5x6.5 inches and then folded these sheets in half to make pockets 4.25x6.5 inches. Using slim double sided tape, I taped up three sides of the pocket leaving the top open to insert a tag. Then I made the tag a bit smaller than the pocket dimensions. There are a few other kinds of pages included in the album including pocket pages I cut down to fit. The photos that I used as pages are regular 4x6 photos. I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!

I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!

If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.
