See This Movie: Kedi

Jordan and I traveled to Istanbul a few years ago, and one of the most remarkable things I remember was the street cats.

I've been places with street cats before, but never such nice-looking, friendly ones.

We have often talked of these cats, so when Jordan saw a trailer for the movie Kedi he knew we would have to see it.

This weekend we did see it and it was as amazing as I anticipated. If you love cats, you will definitely want to see this movie. If you don't love cats, you should still see this movie as it's beautifully shot and surprisingly poignant. It might be tricky to find at the theater, as it had a limited release, but definitely keep your eye out for the DVD.

I'm more of a dog person, but I've owned some amazing and personable cats, or rather, they owned me. I'd like to see this movie. I'm intrigued as to how they are all fed and if any steps are taken to reduce their numbers by spaying and neutering.

Awwww! *heart* I'm definitely a cat person before a dog person (though I love ALL animals - we also have a rabbit and a hamster in our house)! I'll have to look into the movie and can't imagine the greatness of running around with such friendly cats everywhere!

I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!

I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!

If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.
