Trip to Kenya, Part 1

Over Christmas we traveled to Amman, Jordan to see Jordan's family, and since we were so "close" we decided to also visit Kenya, something we've wanted to do for a while since Jordan's sister has been living and teaching there for three years now. Our tenth wedding anniversary is coming up and we decided it was a good time to take a once in a lifetime trip. And it certainly was. I'm not even sure how exactly to write about it here. So here's a giraffe crossing the road:

We stayed at a really fantastic camp on the Naboisho Conservancy, which is right next to the Masai Mara Reserve.
The benefits of visiting the private conservancy versus the national reserve seemed to be that instead of having to drive on roads,
our guides could drive us wherever seemed most exciting ▼

Because driving around looking at wild animals can make a person hungry,
our guides also set up breakfast for us every morning ▼

@Marisa - which camp did you stay in? We were there in October 2015 and stayed at Encounter Mara. You're right about the trip of a lifetime and being so hard to put the 'awesomeness' into words. Your pictures are amazing.
