Time to read?? Just the back of food boxes!

I am now reading The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield, it was another book club book from forever ago.

Did you hear about a series called "The Wardstone Chronicles"? My hubby bought the first e-book to me, because he saw a trailer of a movie and thought we´d like to read the books before watching it. I´m reading now and enjoying so far - I read around 1/3 of the first book.

We went to the theater to see the Desolation of Smaug, which in turn led us to watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy, again. Which in turn led me to read the Lord of the Rings, again, which I am doing now. LOL

I just finished reading a book called Silence of the Grave it's a Thriller by Arnaldur Indridason he's from Iceland and although I usually like these types of books I didn't think this one was for me however by the end of chapter one I was making plans to find more books from this author a really good read.

Currently reading The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks. I bought the book when it came out and am just now getting to reading it. I have added half of these books to my book list at the library and I can't wait to read some of them. I love this post smiley.

I am reading C.S. Lewis' space trilogy. I am currently on Perelanra (the second book). It is very intriguing, and I am loving the books.

-I really enjoy seeing what other people are reading. It's fun to come across new titles.

Just started (an halfway through lol) A Company of Swans by Eva Ibbotson...cute romantic story.

I finished two books this month (ok, both short, but better than fall behind on reading goals: The first was "Oh Myyyyy - here goes the internet", by George Takei - I liked it far better than I thought I´d like and "So long, and tanks for all the fish" - the 4th on the Hitchhiker´s Guide to the Galaxy series, by Douglas Adams. It´s far better than the third!

A Course In Miracles (ACIM) ...with no formal sequence! smiley

My son loves to read Asimov, science fiction though is not my thing. Last year at Christmas my hubby gifted me with a Kobo and I absolutely love it. I have been reading many of the books I read in my youth which you can't find anymore and fallen in love with literature again. I just finished Tess of the D'uebervilles by Thomas Hardy ... it could have been written today. You can download as many epub books as you would ever read here: http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page

As a retired librarian, I was horrified by how little I'd read since I retired. I started listening to audiobooks a couple of years ago when I got rid of the tv in my sewing room (it was only there for noise). I gained more storage and fewer obnoxious commercials smiley I started at the beginning of the Harry Potter books since I'd never finished the whole series while working. Jim Dale does an INCREDIBLE job reading them, I could hardly pull myself away, and since I read stories for a living I'm pretty fussy smiley Minnesota authors John Sandburg and Brian Freeman are two of my favorites, both mystery/thriller/detective genres. I especially like them because they take place in Minnesota. Currently listening to Tess Geritsen's The Silent Girl. I can only listen when I'm piecing a quilt or editing pictures, but can't if I'm trying to measure and cut or plan a scrapbook page, not enough concentration to go around smiley Never thought I'd do it, but got a Kindle over a year ago and love it! Now I can read in bed without annoying my husband. Discovered Goodreads website and find it a great way to keep track of what I've read, especially when it's a series like Sandburg's Prey series and also keep a list of what I'd like to read.

I recently learned that the genre that I like is called Cozy Mysteries. smiley At the Re-Store last week, I saw some books for sale and picked them up, thinking they looked pretty Cozy to me. I looked them up, and they are listed on the Cozy-Mystery website! smiley So on my IRL bookshelf, I have a few by Robert Barnard, Wendy Lyn Watson, Martha Grimes, and Margery Allingham. On my Kindle and library bookshelf, I just finished The Immortal Nicolas Flamel series, and just tucked into another Hamish Macbeth, which will be followed by Agatha Raisin, and maybe another Hannah Swenson.
Yeah, not the most thought-provoking books in the world. But I enjoy them. smiley
Oh, and I'm reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy to my boys. They want to watch the movies. smiley

I do like to listen to music while I'm designing, but there's also times when I want peace and quite! smiley

I only read on my Kindle now and the last great book I read was "The Lucky One" by Nicholas Sparks. I'm browsing several others that were free but none are holding my attention.

I like to read on my kindle at night to wind down before bed. I'm currently reading "An Inquiry into Love and Death" by Simone St. James about a 1920's British woman kind of becomes a ghost hunter/mystery solver.

I tend to read 2 or 3 books at a time - one that is light and easy to read, and then maybe one or two that are deeper and require a bit more concentration.

I don't have a kindle and still borrow books for free from the local library. I have just started Nicholas Sparks At First Sight. I have always loved reading and will read almost anything but I don't get as much time as I would like to read anymore.

I just finished reading The Night Circus, by E. Morgenstern. Great book!

I am now reading Divergent because my 15 year old has read all the books and is dying over the movies, so I need to see what it's all about. (I am usually more quick to read what she is reading, but I have been working so much overtime this year I haven't read as much as usual.)

I just finished reading my first e-book on my phone - The House of Seven Gables by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Classic literature is not my first choice of reading material and I was surprised by how much I liked the book. It had an interesting twist at the end.

I am French, so I read a lot of French book but not only.
The last one is a French book "deux petits pas sur le sable mouillé" : two small steps on the wet sand
It tells the story of a little girl suffering from an orphan genetic disease, it's the mother who has written this book.

And I fell in love with the trilogy "hunger games"

Right now I am reading Beautiful Redemption, the last in the Caster Chronicles series. (Beautiful Creatures series)

...read, something I am not so good at... I am currently wading my way throughout The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown - I have been reading it for the last 3 months...

Don't worry I've been reading mine for about 6 months! I'm usually an avid reader but having a toddler gives me a lot less time to read!

yea toddler's can be a handful, then they grow up... you would think I would have more time now that my son is away at university.... but it still takes me ages.... lol

I have a fairly large covered porch and I spend most of my spare time sitting and reading all summer. I am a romantic at heart, so I love reading Nicholas Sparks novels. Right now, I am getting ready to start his new book The Longest Ride. It is the only one I have not read.

Right now I am reading the last book in the Vampire Academy series. It is supposed to be a young adult series, but I loved it.

I recently finished "A Painted House" by John Grisham and it was great! I gave it to my mom, and she also loved it. She's now given it to her friend - who doesn't like Grisham books - and loves it!

I just finished reading the Vampire Academy series. It was actually really good.

I am a John Connolly fanatic... Currently busy reading The Reaper....

I recently read The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. I didn't know anything about it before picking it up. The satirical style caught me off guard at first, but once I understood that is what was happening, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
