June 2014 Blog Train: Ideas

I can't believe I'm posting for June. Is that really right? It's time to collect ideas for themes and palettes. There's been some discussion about doing a baby theme, which I'm neither for nor against. If that sounds like a good idea to you, please suggest some palettes and we'll put it in the vote!

i would love to see a baby theme...i'm always looking for new baby stuff, i have a 5 mo old girl so I'm partial to pinks, but it could just be a bunch of pastels. I'm just learning how to create my own kits, so maybe i can participate in that one.

Ooo, I love the idea of a baby theme. I've been toying with the idea for a while now about making one, just never could get to it...this would be perfect...only, I really really hope to have browns or tans with whatever color choice is selected, I LOVE neutrals! I'll have to go look at some color choices now, yay:)

I'd be happy with the baby theme, too... I'll go look for or make a color palette... I'm imagining pinks, blues, and neutrals... smiley

Yes to baby theme! I still have a baby book on my someday-ever-i-want-to-do-scrapbook list (that somehow never gets any shorter), one for my boy and one for my girl. So we will need feminine pastels and bolder colors, but I can live with neutrals too.

Somehow 'oh baby baby' just crept into my head. Now I need to go find out in what song that is. Googling it won't help I guess... oh baby baby is probably in a third of every song ever made smiley

I love "Oh Baby Baby!"

Here are some colors I pulled from different color palettes on pinterest. One for a boy, one for a girl, and one for both. I really LOVE the name Oh Baby Baby much better, so if we wind up using that name, it would be awesome!! Anyway, just some ideas:)

A baby theme is fine with me. One could always do flowers and toys and such as opposed to completely baby-themed items. Love all of those palettes Sheila.

Doesn't 'Oh Baby Baby' come from 'Push It' by Salt 'n' Pepa? If so, it's appropriate smiley !!!

I have never tried a baby kit, so I am ok with going in that direction. I like the Sweet little one Palette as it would allow the option to either do a combination or just a boy or girl kit.

Baby Theme is ok with me to. "Babies Love", "Joy In Every Moment", "Sweet Joy Of Mine", "Shake, Rattle And Roll", "Cute As A Button",

Schools out for summer! smiley

Sorry about the giant image... No matter what I tried, I could only get too big,lie this ortoo small, where it became unreadable.

I'd like to revive my old Baby's Firsts kit for this baby themed Blog Train, so here's my suggestion:

Now, that being said, I have to say, I adore the palette suggested by Lori Staton.

yes, love the baby idea with pastes, brown & neutrals!!

Yes Marisa, I agree with the baby theme as I have a few friends who've had babies, plus I donated a digital scrapbook for a fundraiser and the lady who bought it wanted to do a baby book for her grandson. Plus there's a thread here in the forums asking for just that: https://www.digitalscrapbook.com/forums/digital-scrapbooking/digital-scrapbooking-discussion/baby-theme-blog-train-challenge.

Agreeing with babies, too! smiley

I asked for a baby theme so I am certainly for the baby theme. I love the traditional pastels with some neutral tans. I love the Sweet Baby palettes that Sheila suggested. Janet has been working on a pregnancy silhouette so it would be fun to include 'expecting baby' into the mix.

I have to say, I love Sheila's Sweet Little One....includes all colors for boys, girls, twins, and for those who don't want pink and blue!

I also love Sheila's "Sweet Little One". It combines both girl and boy and can be very versatile. You can do the sweet little flowery designs with pastels or you could do a zoo theme with little monkeys, lions, tigers...etc...the possibilities are endless, all of the colors are there smiley
I'd say either a versatile color palette or two different palettes and let each member decide which one they want to do. That way we have a selection of girl and boy kits!

I love the "Oh baby baby" theme! These words actually remind me of a song by Britney Spears called "Baby one more time" smiley.
And I too have some palette suggestions! smiley

I love these two bright palettes:

Or a combination of these two palettes for both boy and girl:

Or the more pastel palettes:

Ooh, I just LOVE Lori and Sharon's colour palettes!! You could do a vintage-y theme with Lori's, too.

Ooooo, Sharon, beautiful palettes!!

I was looking for a baby theme specially for twins...i would appreciate if you add few elements for twin bro n sis in your kit..

A 'little ones' train would be fun!
