Opinions Please...UPDATE:ASL and PAT files now available for CU!

[.....I've been playing around with the filters in Photoshop CS5, wanting to create some actions and/or styles and I've come up with a texture I like but not sure what texture it looks like (maybe, velour or velvet?) so I thought I'd ask you all what you think. After I've identified it, I'll share the end result (be it a style or action) here or maybe as a tutorial.

So, what would you call this texture?

Thanks for your help.

If you want the actual asset to use in your scrapbooking endevours, you can download it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/otatgthqqedawxd/RThorn_textured_arrow.png

UPDATE:
I'm calling it 'Microfiber suede' - Thank you all for your help.

I've created both a pattern and style preset for Adobe Photoshop use. (.pat and .asl files). I've created in CS5 but I think they'll be usable in PSE too. If you have success using them in PSE, I hope you'll let me know. smiley

The .ASL and .PAT file are considered Designer Resources. Here are the rules for my Designer Resources:"My free downloads are not for resale in and of themselves; they are not to be sold except by me.-My Designer Resources are provided for use in creating your own, derivative works. Your derivative works become your property to do with what you want.'

I'm sharing my Dropbox folder of my PS Presets HERE - you'll find both the .PAT file and the .ASL file in the folder. (for best results, use a blending mode of 'soft light' with the .PAT file).

I actually think it looks a little like a stucco

It could be leathery too. Although velvet is probably closer. Love it!

I would say suede-plush like the footstools and cushions you see in the stores now ... it's very pretty no matter what you call it smiley

Looks like that microfiber suede fabric that is used on sofas.

Thank you to everyone who weighed in here! I'm leaning towards identifying it as 'faux suede'.

Yes, I think it looks like suede.

I was going to say suede or leather as well

I agree with the suede! it reminds of the microfiber fabric I used to see at Joann Fabrics:)

POSTING HERE TO BUMP IT. I've edited my first post to provide a link to download my finished .asl and .pat files.

Thanks for sharing Rose! What TOU are you using for this?
