List of Designers + abbreviation for automatic organising my digi supplies?

Hello everyone,

At the moment i am trying to find a way to get my organizing done without spending so much time on it like i did in the past. i am sure many things can be done automatically. Like getting everything in the correct directories and subdirectories.

BUT it seems like there are so many designers, that it isn't that easy to know all abbreviation.

Is there a list of the designers who share their work here at pixelscrapper?

thanks,
anika

You can find the designers on this page - The DigitalScrapbook.com Team
They are the ones who design for the site - Their stuff can be found under the Assets, Templates, & Kits tabs above.
If your looking for the people that design for the blog trains/designer challenges too - that is a long list that varies so I'm not much help there smiley

Good luck on your organizing!

Hi Anika! Since we wholeheartedly believe in being personal here at DigitalScrapbook.com, the designers don't use abbreviations for their names. All assets on this site (the ones by the DigitalScrapbook.com designers I mean) will have our full names in front of the filename. And we also put PS for DigitalScrapbook.com in front, so those of you that sort by store know that it came from DigitalScrapbook.com. So, my files will be named PS-melo-vrijhof-flower-blue or something similar.

For the blogtrain designers, rules are less strict. We ask everyone to at least put their name and the name of the blogtrain in their filenames, but this is not mandatory. Some designers use abbreviations, others stick to design names and some don't put in the name at all! Drives us all crazy, and we have had discussions about this before. When I have a little more time, I will try and look up one of these old discussions, because I vaguely remember talking about filing solutions as well.

so everything "official" from pixelscrapper starts with PS_ ? that already helps a lot, thank you!

yes this is True, everything from "official" designers in our store. smiley

It would be handy if every designer in every store used the same file-naming convention. Wishful thinking, though.

There's a thread here that discusses the different ways others are organizing their files.
It is Very helpful! smiley

You can find it here

The standard convention is to begin the name of each file with the initials of your "designer name" - most of the stores do it that way. Again, as DigitalScrapbook.com is a Digital Scrapbook Community and not a conventional store, here we have a different way of doing things smiley

@Anika: WAIT until you get to organizing those kits where designers have NO labeling system, except paper 01, paper 02, element 01, element 02, etc. These kits are nightmares for me to organize! That is one reason I don't separate out (and never will) my kits into pieces and parts. smiley

oh yes, those are frustrating! sometimes i just delete them if i don't really love them, just because the time on organizing them is so not worth it!

i do the exact same thing... smiley
