love it!

looking great ladies! I'm working on a portion, it's the first blog train I've worked on since November! smiley

gosh I am seeing some great creativity already...wow ladies

Priscilla, how do you make glitter like that????? It's all nice and chunky and sparkly. It looks great!!

Awesome kits ladies!!
Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with,i am working on mine.

I need some glitter's,haven't taken the time to learn to make them.

@Prissy,can i have your glitters early.......Please!!

As of right now I use a template from here (since I can't afford ArtRage yet) and crop them to 1200x1200. You need ArtRage to make your own and here's a video tutorial for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyWnw2wRK7k -- I know it says Photoshop, but she's actually using ArtRage.

Mersija: Yes, I'll upload them and PM you the link here. smiley

I'm not sure how you use the stuff on here to make the glitters. I know Marisa has a LOT of glitter styles/PNGs on here (one for each of her kits) and that's a lot of colours, but I haven't been able to find any kind of generic template/style for it. Do you recolour them, and if so, HOW do you do that?!?!??? I've been playing with it, but I am just stuck!

I'll probably end up getting ArtRage anyway (thank you for reminding me what program it was), because I like the digital painting features (it reminds me of Painter, back when it was still awesome). But my curiosity has overcome me and I MUST know your technique! Please?? smiley (It's gonna kill me.)

EDIT: Okay, I feel like a doofus now. LOL! I got some spare time to sit and watch the tutorial you linked and, low and behold, it explains everything!! /double facepalm

Thank you!! smiley

Here is my contribution so far:

I thought I replied to this last night...lol, guess not. I see you've figured it out through the video but in case anyone else is wondering...I use this template glitter template and crop it in a different spot each time I use it so it looks like a different sheet than any other time. smiley Then I just recolor it to whatever I need it to be. In PS, just add a new layer on top, clip it and change the mode to whatever looks best. In PSP, I use the Manual Color Correction tool (Enhance Photo> Manual Color Correction) which is really quick. smiley

Here is what I created Christmas in July themed

Ladies, just dropping a note to say that someone PMed me about last blog train that there are people putting previews and DL links only in the "working" topic, and forgetting to add at final list. If you do so, you won´t drive that much traffic to your blog, and it´s what blog trains are about, right? So please remember to post your links on the final list, and not here!

oh my gosh I am so inspired by the stops already posted for the July blog train...in fact I'm so excited that I started on a contribution of my own last night. As I am prone to do, I went a little overboard so tonight I am going to edit it down a bit, so hopefully I'll be able to post my contribution tonight or tomorrow! smiley

P.S. I also want to say that I learned something new because of deciding to join this blog train...I never understood about the color swatches, but by messing around (because heaven forbid I look anything up and read the instructions...lol), I realized how to use the swatch number...that is such a great tool!!!

I am new to forums and don't really follow how or where so links in the main thread to where we need to post it would help newbies or people like myself plain stupid to using forums...

@Debra: The list that downloaders uses to see all the spots and actually go to the forums are created on the Blogtrain subforum each month, around the 28th. It´s a topic called {Month year} blogtrain: Final list. This one is for discussions (and cheers) between the designers and keeps open during the process of making the portions. Most times the final list also appears at the sticky part of the main page.

Please remember that at the final list the only kind of post that is allowed are the ones with previews and links to where get the portions...

I am so excited...this is my very first time to participate in a blog train. When I saw the color palette I was drawn immediately to the red and black, when I see red and black I always think of ladybugs, so that is my theme. Here is my preview. I haven't uploaded it to my blog because I didn't want it to show up in the freebie search engines until the blog train kicks off. Anyway, here is the unveiling....please let me know if it is what is expected or not, I welcome any critique, especially since I am a newbie! Dawn P.S. oops after looking this over I realize I didn't indicate the size...this is a full size kit.

@ Lorien -Thank you I shall watch for that one, last time I used a thread to conversation to find it otherwise i would never have known.
