Apologies ;)

Sooo sorry for being MIA for such a long time. I had major computer problems and had to leave the comp at a friend who always succeeds to fix technical problems. When I got it back after a few weeks and I prepared myself for a long browser session, the darn thing wouldn't connect to the internet.
As the comp was about 8 years old, there was nothing left to do but replace it.. as soon as I had the money to do it.
In the meantime I was able to borrow my youngest daughter's laptop every once in a while, so I could check my mail and Facebook, but I couldn't download one single thing and I didn't have PSP, so I couldn't create anything either.
Let me tell you, if I ever got a confirmation about my internet addiction, that was it! Amazing (and shocking) how much we (well, I) depend on that stupid window to connect with online friends.
But, I have a new one now and I hope to stop by regularly!

Welcome back Antionette! You won't know yourself with an upgrade after 8 years!

Glad you can at least write these words smiley Welcome back! I hope you can get an awesome computer anytime soon.

And man, I´m definitelly addicted to internet. Not this kind of people that uses on the go, but I can´t be at home without it - It makes me nervous and I can´t remember anything else to do without the web. When the conection is ok, however, I can happly stay hours without it - but I need to know it´s there for when I need to use...

My computer is called The Beast for good reason and I don't know what I'd do without it and the internet ... I keep in touch with family, chat to my friends and close family through google chat and all for free no matter where they are in the world. I can treat my addiction to learning each and every day, meet and make new friends, trade information and if I'm blue watch those crazy kitten and puppy videos .... but at the same time I can turn it off, not worry about it and go to my she cave and create using real fabric, pencils, paints ..... I love my beast.

Hello! And I'm peeking back in myself! I had a move and a job change. My schedule is completely different know. It's so weird. I hope everyone is doing well!

It's so good to see you around again Antionette... (and you to Amber)
That's the great thing about this place and life, we can just all come as we are when we can. smiley heehee
Looking forward to seeing more of y'all again.

Amber, welcome home smiley Hope you adapt yourself to the new job smiley

I have to admit, that I am settling in quite easily here at DigitalScrapbook.com! I find each morning on my days off that the first thing I want to do is check in and read any new posts in the forums. I'm new, Antoinette, so I can't really say welcome back, but I can say, I'm glad you are here and I look forward to seeing you around!!

awwwwwwwwww wb! I sympathise with you! Exactly the same thing happened to me. My comp died at Christmas and I just now got a new one ohhhhhhhhhhhhh it was devastating ...lucky it was summer with a beach across the road!

I am new here, but I feel the pain you went through. I purchased my new PC a few months back, and I had to use laplink mover to move all my files and software over from the old one to the new one. It took 3 days and I was jonesing the entire time, lol.

Well, my 'luck' wasn't over after my initial post. New comp didn't have the right video card, so I couldn't play games nor use PSP (Major smiley )
All that is fixed now (knocks wood), I've installed all the programs I used (as far as I remembered) and I really hope to start PSP up soon. Of course it's an office day tomorrow, so I have to wait until the weekend, but hey, what's a day or two on a lifetime, right? smiley
So glad to see that I'm not the only one depending on this technical device to make my days happy smiley
