Thanks Brenda!
Oh wow these will definitely come in handy!
Thanks Brenda these are great!
So am I in the right place????
I feel so dumb to ask this but how do you get the little circle curser to stay on the eraser program.
It comes and goes and I can't seem to live without it now.
I tried the preference thingy and thought I had it solved but now that doesn't seem to help.
I posted this on another forum but I think it's defunked.
Also forgot to add thanks for all the links, I put them in an email and sent it to myself so when I'm waiting (doctors office) I'll have something to read.
Wow, Thanks for all the links. I love learning new things. There are so many talented people out there and so little time to learn all the neat things they share.
Cathy, I'm sorry no one has answered your question. I really didn't even see that someone had a comment up there on the sticky.
Actually I don't understand the question. I have PSE 10 but my eraser stays on the Mode that I used last. The options are across the top once you click on eraser and my options are in a drop down from mode. They are Brush, Pencil and Block. Then the Brush is actually a circle and needs to be re-sized most of the time to be a circle I can see so I just click on the size and adjust it to the size I want with the slider. There may be a way that I am not aware of setting a default.
I will check the sticky more often for questions since I am not notified yet as to when there are comments. I hope that will be fixed soon for all of us. Thanks and sorry I could not be of help.
Thank you Brenda for these links. They will be very useful as I want to spend more time and learn PS.
thanks
Thanks for the links -- as my late dad used to say "Knowledge is never wasted."
Awesome!!!
Thank you will go and have a look
Thank you so much! Can't wait to explore!
Thanks for all these links, they will definitely come in handy.
I found this great video on creating custom drop shadows. Very easy!
http://www.scrapartstudio.com/custom-shadowspse/
I hope I understood you question correctly: to keep the eraser circle curser to stay on-
go to preferences>display & cursers> "other cursers" click on precise.
hope this helps!
Elise
I am new to this group and this post just made my day! Thank you!
Thanks for this link Elise....I have bookmarked it.
These are all so very helpful! Thanks so much!
Thanks. I need a lot of help with designing my own things. First i've taught myself how to use templates and recoloring/modifying those templates to make what i'm looking for. I'd really like to learn how to start creating my own elements, not using templates next...i'm a bit lost on that
Careful Holly ... you will get hooked
Susan (or anyone) any idea on where to start or any tutorials out there for creating my own elements from scratch?
If you can afford a tablet I'd get one ... they are perfect for creating ... lots about tablets in the forum
Basics is what you need as well ... how to delete a background, working in a higher resolution ... 300 ppi .... using a scanner and a camera depending on what you want to make. Learning how to use your effects and styles, manipulating shapes, using your filters .... check out the tutorials on this site ... Marisa has wonderful tutorials here ... there are also lots of links in the forum ... search them out through the topics. Search the internet for pieces you really like and try to create something similar (not copy) to get started ... you will be working on your own before yo know it
To add to Susan's,
If you haven't already learned how to extract objects, this is something to learn. You can make elements from extracted objects. Learn how to use styles and create your own.
Most of all take your time and enjoy what you are learning.
Thanks Brenda for all those helpful links! I am starting from scratch and am just trying to learn pse and so far it's going...... Sloooow! I am sure this will help.
WOW!! Thank you so much for putting all these great links all together for us!!
Everyone, You are welcome.
Holly, go through some of the tutorials above. There are some that show you how to make some elements. For example, Scrapping Guy https://www.youtube.com/user/scrappingguy/videos?shelf_index=1&sort=dd&view=0 has how to create beads, how to create a button, how to create charm bracelet, how to create a flower, how to create bubbles. When you try just something kind of simple to start you can learn so many other things about creating and sometimes you can figure out other elements on your own. It does take a little time to go through all the links but you will learn things if you try. If you have something particular in mind. I will help you search for a tutorial for the specific element. Just let me know.
This is AWESOME!!! So excited to check some of these out!! Thank you, Brenda!!
looked into some of the sites appears straight forwarded will try it
Whoa!!!..This thread is full of treasures..so much links to learn..I always keep searching easy tutorials or videos to learn tricks..these will help a lot..Thank you so much..
