Nov 2015 Blog Train - Comments

Please use this thread for any comments, questions, thanks, etc you have for our designers participating in the blog train. To see the blog train list, visit this post.

Please remember that the blog train does not go live until November 1, so the actual freebie on the blog may not yet be posted.

Thank you, Sheila, for the beautiful kit.Keeping your mom in my prayers...because moms are precious and should be everlasting, right?

Wow, everything looks so good and we are just getting started!!!

Thank you very much to all the designers for sharing their gorgeous kits.

So many pretty things again this month, everyone! I got stuck (as I noted when I posted my portions). I REALLY admire those of you who are able to stick with the theme and the palette without going off on a tangent. I get these "inspirations" and they sort of just take over, and this month I ended up painting myself into a corner and couldn't escape. LOL!

Oh well...I'm getting nice comments on my blog and in emails from my subscribers, so it looks like what I ended up with will be useful to people. That's my ultimate goal anyway...so I'm happy.

December should be easier. With that palette and theme I can't really mess up, can I? (knock on wood)

I have to admit that I wasn't really excited about this month's color scheme but ALL the designers have done an AMAZING job with it and now I'm really looking forward to creating some beautiful pages with their wonderful work.

Erin Crouch and Holly Wolf - I always love your contributions and would LOVE to have them but Google hates me and I have never been able to download any of your lovely designs! Isn't there any other way for you to offer them? PLEASE???

Patricia, you're clicking the Download button in the top middle once you get there, the one that looks like an arrow pointing down at a line? That should either give you the download directly if it's under 20MB or give you a message saying it's too big for them to virus scan and another button that says Download Anyway.

I'll upload it somewhere else and drop you a note with a link through your contact form.

Thanks Holly - that would be great!

Thanks everyone for another fabulous blog train. I love autumn-themed kits and everyone's stuff is just, well, awesome! And thank you so much for generously sharing your time and creativity in these freebies; I'd comment on specific bits that especially caught my fancy, but last time I did that I didn't have my glasses on and mis-identified an element, lol, and ended up feeling pretty sheepish! So I'll simply leave it at kudos to everyone on all the amazing creations.

Patricia... I'm not sure of any other way to get them to you. I don't use any other program. Holly, any ideas? I could give you a direct link, but it would still be a google drive download. I've never had ANY trouble downloading from google. It's the other downloads that I abhor. (like MediaFire!! Ugh!)

Thanks Erin - I have my computer guy trying to figure out why I can't d/l from google so maybe he will figure it out.

Thank you everyone for a Beautiful Blog Train,

Erin, does your blog allow you to upload zip files at all? I broke mine down into 20MB portions, stuck them on my blog server temporarily, and have emailed Patricia the links.
Otherwise, less-annoying places than Mediafire for uploading...I'd suggest either box.com or Copy.com, as both present a pretty straightforward download without all the ads that Mediafire and 4shared display. A free account on either will give you 10 or 15 GB of storage--a couple of years worth of blog trains, at least, even on my most productive months. smiley
As far as downloading, Mediafire with Ad Block Plus running in my browser is pretty straightforward--pop in, hit the big green button, click save, and close the tab.

But...it's not me that's having issues downloading the files. Patricia, does one of those work better than the other for you?

Holly, I appreciate all your help. It was indeed a problem with my computer (some setting or other) which my nephew fixed so I should be good with google from now on! You are the best, girl!!!!

Awesome, Patricia! I usually just throw stuff up on Google Drive so I don't have to worry about data transfer bandwidth, so I'm very glad it's going to be working for you from now on! (If you missed any of my prior blog train stuff between March and September because of that setting, the links are still good, so feel free to grab anything you couldn't get before.) smiley

Yay, Patricia!

A great big thanks and hugs to everyone who participated in the blog train. I loved it all. I tried to give thanks to each individual when I was sent to your blog to download but I know I missed some because I couldn't figure out how to make it work--I'm NOT good when it comes to computers! Anyway thanks to all of you!
P.S. I had trouble with Trudette De Jongh's download. When I hit the "here" buttong to go to the blog, it took me back to the beginning of the Thankful Harvest participant list. Has anyone else had trouble with this or is it just me?

Debbie , thank you for pointing this out , I made a mistake,
I hope it works fine now .

THANKS during a THANKFUL SEASON

BEAUTIFUL WORK from all the designers. smiley

Thank you for the generosity of all! You are wonderful.

I had so much fun participating in the Blog Train, thanks so much everyone for helping me out on my first designing experience.

Beautiful work ladies! I love all of the pieces and I'm sure here with the upcoming holiday that I should be able to put many of them to good use. I just have to organize everything first and undo all of those zip files. I got part way in and got quite a shock by the amount of submissions this month. All of the hard work is greatly appreciated!

Great work everyone! thank you for sharing!

Judging from the December working thread, there will be even more submissions next month! You might want to add a new hard drive to the Christmas list by the time you're through... smiley

What a cornucopia of treasures! This was truly a harvest for which I am thankful.
