Well I don't have this texture and I can't find it via google. Everything just says Photoshop, but there's more than one kind of Photoshop. I have Elements 13 or something so I guess it's a CS texture. It stinks b/c I'd love to make my own glitter :\
Thank you for the tutorial. I have Adobe Photoshop CS6 and I’m slowly learning how to use it. I used PSP 9 & 10 years ago so I’m hoping I can learn how to create some goodies in CS6.
Just tried it! I made it on a 12 x 12 inch page. Zoomed out the pattern repeats a lot but zoomed it, it really looks like glitter. Pretty amazing! Thank you for the tutorial!
CS2 doesn't have the "Texture Fill 2" files. Does anyone know where I might find the Towel and Web patterns online? I know I really need to catch up on the CS releases lol!
If you don't have the "towel" pattern you can fill a layer with white color. Use Filter > Noise> Add Noise. Go to Filter > Brush Strokes > Spatter. And then add a soft Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur. For the color of the glitter use a Gradient Map.
You can also try these glitter brushes that work great with glitter patterns
Thanks for the tutorial! The web texture didn't quite look right on mine, so I played around with difference clouds and blend modes instead. I'll have to try adding sparkle now.
I know this is an old thread but Im looking at how to create a more chunky glitter background, and also a glitter overlay. Are there any tutorials doing this I can follow?
I don't have any of these patterns either... the tutorial is from 9 years ago.. it is possible they are not included anymore.. you might find some on the web and install them...
Thanks for this tutorial, I do like a bit of bling!
Thank you Marisa I did both! I thought I already posted this, but it vanished somewhere lol

Thank you so much. I tried this in PSE and it worked as well which was awesome
Amazing thank you!
Hi Marisa,
Seven years later, your tutorial is still one of the best out there.
Thank you for sharing and for making it easy to follow.

I just tried it and wow! So much better than just using Noise. Thanks!
Thank you, I am going to try this one.

I just recently downloaded a trial version of Photoshop. I am trying to do this, but I am not seeing a towel pattern. Is that something not included?

There are instructions here for finding legacy patterns.
Thanks so much, Marisa!
Thank you Marisa!
