Weekly Challenge - White Space - Deadline March 28

Thanks everyone for participating! I've given you all 10 community points. And congrats to Heather J for winning the random drawing! Be sure to check out all the layouts and leave some love!

This week the challenge is to use white space. Remember that white space doesn't technically have to be white, it's just meant to be "empty" and to allow the focus of the page to breathe. In other words, you're layout will probably lean towards a minimal look. I love the look of layouts like these, but I really struggle to do it myself. Don't be afraid to scraplift a layout you like to help you practice this effect.

ooooh, this one is hard but good!! smiley

I think I can do it!

This will be a challenge--I always have too many pictures for my pages. Should be fun.

i like the idea of this one ... but my personal scrapping style does not really involve much white space... i have too many pictures ... i'll have to skip this one ... good luck everyone.

Is this white enough?

I also have trouble confining myself to just a few items per page. In fact, I never do, so I welcome this challenge. It will make me stretch my limits, always a good thing.

Okay, I know, it's not quite as much white space as the examples, but I HAD to make the dinosaur footprints! I could not help myself! It has a lot more empty space than any of the layouts I've made yet.

@ Saskia: I think it's enough white space and would love to scrap-lift it!

I enjoyed this challenge because my natural style is more minimal for most layouts.

That's neat, Carrie. I like those colors with the vintage-style photo.

I love what I"m seeing so far, I hope I can find some time this weekend to participate!

This is really hard for me as I bet it is for most because it is a challenge. I had been paper scrapping for so long and the products are SO expensive that I felt like I had to get the most bang for my buck, a page without a lot of photos added up quickly. This was also my first foray into clustering... It doesn't seem right but I can't put my finger on what I want to do with it. I may go back to tweak it or I may not. Sometimes I think it's ok to leave things be and move on to the next thing. All in all, this was a fun challenge and made me start on my Disney book from 2011!

Carrie, nice layout with a beautiful photo

Oof, this really is a challenge! I've been wanting to do this, but I can never keep the space as white as it should be... I hope I'll have time to participate in this one, it would be a great challenge!

Thanks Meridy!

Love all your LO's.

I like this challenge, I might get more pages done using this method and I've been wanting to use clouds and bokeh in the background. Thanks for the fun! smiley

I loved doing this challenge. It's fun!

There are so many beautiful layouts submitted already. I look forward to seeing even more. Thanks to all who have commented on my layout. It has one of my favorite photos from my wedding. I believe I've seen and commented on the layouts in the gallery. I'll continue to check them out throughout the rest of the challenge time.

Not very much white space but about 100% more than I usually leave.

Here's the link to my page.

Oh My! Lots of great layouts. Way to go ladies you have given me some inspiration.

I have a hard time with white space, so this was a good challenge for me - I find it hard to anchor what's there! Here's one I came up with:

I'm still new here...so there's no gallery link for me yet smiley

Hopefully this layout qualifies for white space. I ran across a tutorial (info is in the layout description along with all of the resource links) and knew that I wanted to do one for each of my daughters. This is the one I did for my daughter Annelyse.

Wow.... great Layout`s..... They are so different. smiley

I made this layout for my sister who had a little baby girl a month ago, I'm in my white space period I think.....the last couple of layout I've made where with white

Awesome LO's!

Even more great layouts since the last time I checked!

The Duke Girls are two of my small nieces who really, really love to be girly and dress up.

Marisa, your layouts are beautiful, as usual. Love your different examples.
