omg omg Melouise!!! I love owls and felt!!! I can't wait smiley

All you other Lovely Ladies: WOWSER!!! You are ALL so impressive with your talents... I'll just stick to scrapping with your beautiful creations if that's okay; but I'm definitely with Lorien though, my HD is going to be too full. smiley

Omg Violet, you really had enough inspiration. I love everything about it!
Melouise: how sweet of you! thanks!
4 more days to take off smiley can't wait to scrap with all those beautifull goodies!

Oh wow @Violet! Your previews are AMAZING! I lacked the courage to do an art journaling kit, although I eye-balled lots of pretty stamped birds and bees before I decided against it. And I am glad I did, because mine would never have been as good as yours. Can't wait to use your kit!

Thank you Melouise for your kind comments. It is nice to know that I am moving in the right direction. smiley Everyone's entry is beautiful. This is totally fun~

Thank you Melouise, for commenting the way you did. I am so impressed by the variation in all of the kits. This is so exciting. So glad you made it Violet.

I struggled with what to do. So my entry is a little different. It will be .abr brush files and .png files. I had some time to sketch while at yet another practice. Basketball season is over and now we are on to lacrosse.

QUESTION:
The preview has the files in color (was just trying to match the fun colors for the train). However, I was thinking of just having the .png files in black in the zipped file that gets downloaded. OR should I have the .png files as the colors shown? OR just show the preview with everything in all black?

I already have the .abr files made - but not the .png files.

By the way - all the previews that everyone has posted so far look wonderful!!!

I am running late this month with my various projects. Here is my contribution to the April Blog Hop. You can download it from my box account here. It will be released on my blog, on April 1st.

Brooke! You draw extremely well!!!!!! I wish I could do as good. First I have to try but it seems like I am not talented enough. I think I am going to purchase Art Rage maybe that will help me with my drawing.

Love what you did Brooke!
Beautiful kit, Sunny!

@Brooke: I think most people would want their PNG's pre-colored. Not everyone knows how to recolor PNG's and they probably wouldn't get the exact kit-colors unless they went on a wild goose chase trying to find the colorpalette on this site...

Great kit by the way, I really like the sketchy fase you're in right now smiley

@Sharon - thanks! And ArtRage is a fun program smiley

@Saskia - thanks smiley

@ Melo - thanks for the feedback. Between your input and my chat with Marisa - I did decide to include both color and black .png files - and of course the .abr brush files. Ah, the sketches - I'm just really enjoying it right now. I usually draw very tight realistic drawings - and to let loose and simply sketch and doodle has been freeing and super fun! Thanks for the support!

I usually include a colour swatch in the zipped files. That way, if they want to make something else to put on their layout, they can easily match colours. I especially appreciated the swatch files when I wanted to re-colour elements/png brush files or to choose brush colours.

@Cat - thanks for the info. I've never included color swatches before - I just use the dropper tool to "grab" the color I'm trying to re-create - but others may not know that trick?

I also use the eyedropper tool Brooke!

Well, I finally finished up my kit. Do you remember I needed inspiration and I had just a few things? I ended up making a full kit! It´s my very first full kit! The preview is on previews post, now I´m off to rename and zip everything.

@Lórien - that's awesome that "a few things" ended up in a full kit! the previews look great!

Thank you Melouise!! Glad to see you here Jill....you are the one who has helped me up my game through your critiques in designer contests smiley

My thoughts too Cat. I've been glad when someone on the train includes the palette. The dropper is nice and can, but sometimes I end up going for the lighter or darker colors, so it's just nice to have it. I can still pick my favorite shades, if I want.

@ Melouise: Thanks. I looked all over for just some inspiration and something I could look at while drawing. Then I found several photos that were royalty free and not copywritten... I decided to use them as sketches. As a kid I was stung by a bee and ended up with a wellp as big as a baseball on the back of my leg. I didn't have an anaphylactic reaction, but I didn't want to go outside that summer even to collect the strawberries from the garden! Remember my dad had to force me out several times that summer. So I really didnt want to study and stare at the bees. The cardinal, I think with my slow pc, I ended up spending about 8 hrs fiddling with it learning GIMPs path tool, and building mask to airbrush it. Learned a lot and we' re all St Louis Ball fans so I've got a large version i can use again to build other stuff. I LOVE how much I've learned from this... But I'm getting VERY jealous of my sons college Mac Pro that he bought early... Well see if it doesn't end up being my next hand-me down device! Lol

What a good idea, I never thought of that (using the color swatch to recolor), I always recolor by hand (or eye smiley). I may just go back to my zip-files and add the swatch...

Wow! The previews are wonderful. They make me want to scrapbook a whole book Birds and Bees book using these designs, which is exactly what they should do.

I love the variety of what you all have created with only a theme and a color pallet. Lots of imagination and talent! I can't wait to see the pages people make with your art work. Fantastic!

Here is mine! Shwew... It's 3am Sunday morning March 31... about time I got this ready!

Molly, I had to laugh at your comment. I thought of it like one of those voices you see in TV comercials, saying.

"It´s 3am Easter morning, March 31st. Molly is awake. Is she hiding eggs? No. She´s finishing her blogtrain part." then a happy song and you smiling in front of your computer "come to DigitalScrapbook.com blog train, the funniest blog train ever" and a DigitalScrapbook.com logo appearing.

lol, seems I´m very imaginative today :p

Hi Everyone,

I don't see everyone's part up in the right place yet and it's almost time now...

Last call for all of you who haven't put up their previews in the proper blogtrain post yet! Please do not forget to post your previews and link to your blog/downloads in this thread:

https://www.digitalscrapbook.com/forums/digital-scrapbooking/digital-scrapbooking-discussion/ps-april-blog-train-list

Well, my part made it to the "live"! (I didn't stay up on purpose...lol, but I did check my blog, cause it was the first time I used the "schedule" feature.) I might just start downloading some before I hit the sack. smiley

Whew...I'm a bit late to the party...but I made it. All of the goodies are zipped, uploaded, and set to go. smiley

I'm going to lock this thread now. If you have any further comments you can post them here.
