June 2017 Commercial Use Blog Train - "Fasteners" - Final List

We've had a change in moderators here; Ania has had to step down, and Marisa has asked me to help her cover the Designer Challenges forum for now. In the midst of all this, the post for the June CU Blog Train ended up being late--I'm sorry you'll only have a couple of weeks instead of all month to create a few things for this one.

For each train, you will make between 1 to 3 CU element/paper templates (no more) which you will give away on your blog or here if you do not have a blog on June 15th. Your freebie needs to be available for minimum 2 weeks.

The Theme is
FASTENERS

**Since this theme lends itself to such small elements, I'm going to bump the number for this one; you can make up to 5 CU items for this month's train.**

For this blog train, you can make anything that comes to your mind when thinking fasteners--brads, staples, stitches, laced eyelets, washi tape, hangers--anything that can be used to hold things together on a layout. These have to be Commercial Use allowed.

We use a standardized neutral palette for this train. You can download the .aco file here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9-P5o79Lu1JS2pVNk1Ma2hmT0U/view?usp=sharing and the image file here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9-P5o79Lu1JSzB0Q3dnVFpkczQ/view?usp=sharing

If you have any questions let me know, and post your previews along the way so we can all see what you are making--I can't wait to see them!

On June 13th, I will make this post into the final list. (Done June 12th as I'm packing to move and my net will be disconnected sometime tomorrow as my roomie is having it moved to her new place!)

You can find the DigitalScrapbook.com Preview if you need it here: https://www.digitalscrapbook.com/marisa-lerin/designs/pixel-scrapper-preview-package-template-paper just download it add your logo and name and you are set.

If you'd like to use this preview image as a header for your blog post, you're welcome to, but please host a copy of it as my bandwidth is a little limited.

Thanks for stepping up for this challenge, Holly! I'll throw my name in the hat for this one - smiley

I will try to get something in for this!

Count me in smiley

I'm in too! Looking forward to it!

EDIT: I did not read the directions and made 9 clips. Then I made 4 different colored versions of each. I believe this might add up to more than the 5 I was allowed? Will I be banned from future blog trains if I share this? I could shrink it down, but I made it with the intention to share, so you know...

*giggle* Normally, it's just 1-3 items or templates for the CU train, Marisa... The limit was put in place so that we're focusing on quality of the CU items we create, not quantity. But no, you won't be banned from future blog trains if you share 9 clips this time. smiley

Will see if I can add to this one too.

Awesome, Kiana--I'm looking forward to seeing what you create for it! If everyone manages to get something made for this train, we should have a good one on the 15th. smiley

I've chosen to go with a small assortment of things--mostly basics that can be added to any kit. The arrow clip and brad are layered PSDs; others are PNG. They'll go up on my blog for the 15th.

The stickpin, shoelace eyelets and the string sewing strip are layered PSD files. The rest are .PNG files. These will be live on my Rush Ranch blog, on the 15th. Thank you Holly, for the moderation of this challenge.

Download Link can also be accessed here.

Will go live on my blog on the 15th.

The ribboned eyelets are PSD and I included the example version in PNG. The Wide textured tape is in PSD and examples included in PNG.

I too have found it difficult to stay within the 1-3 limit smiley He are my contribution(s) that will be posted on my blog on the 15th.

Available on the blog June 15th
all png files

Great offerings!!

I just stuck to the basics- the paperclip and striped washi are layered tif files; the others are pngs.
Available on my blog on June 15: Promethean Concepts

We've got under a week before this train goes live, ladies--if anyone else is participating and posts a preview, I'll get your previews added into the header image for this month's train!

Great work so far, everyone--it's looking like this is going to be a really useful collection of elements this month! smiley

Hey Holly,
Here is the link to my portion - will be posted there on 14/6: http://nothingbutfreebies.com/blog/

I've made this post into the final list; please link your previews sometime within the next few days, since this train goes live on the 15th!

Can't wait until tomorrow.

Thanks all for the creative way to connect items in a layout!
