Layout Challenge - Scraplift - Oct 2017

You may be thinking "another scraplift challenge!?" Yes, I know I post these quite often - once a month at least with the Spotlight Scraplift, let me tell you why. When I first started digital scrapbooking I would see layouts that I thought were AMAZING and I would look at them and think "How did they they make the paper look like that?" or "How did they make it look like that paper clip is actually holding those items?" Then I would try my best to figure it out by trial and error learning the software I had or by trying to look up tutorials (I say trying here because we have all been there, where you know what type of tutorial you want BUT you don't necessarily call it the same thing the person that made the tutorial does). This did several things for me it helped me learn new things and how to better use the software I had at my disposal AND it helped me find more my "style." Scraplifting layouts also helps me venture a bit out of my comfort zone and helps to encourage me to try things I don't normally do or "think" I don't like.

That being said here is my challenge for you this week is to lift the following layout:

When I opened the gallery this week I saw this layout from Kiana and there are so many things I love about it, the dots on the background paper (something I never would have used but is what drew me to the layout - back to scraplifting makes you push your own boundries), the flower clusters (when I first started digital scrapbooking I despised the amount of flowers everywhere, I hated the clusters, I hated that people felt the need to put so many in a kit, everything about all the flowers I hated), the arrows and the way the photos get slightly larger as you go across the page.

How has scraplifting helped you?

The Details

  1. Challenge ends when October does.
  2. See updated rules here.
  3. You must tag your layouts with these TWO tags: oct 2017 layout challenge, oct 2017 scraplift
  4. See entered layouts here.
  5. Link your layout here in the forum to your gallery. Doing this makes it much easier for others to find your layout and smiley or comment on it. If you don't know how to do this there is a great tutorial here.

Awwwww I feel so honored. I can't wait to check out all the layouts for this one. ♥♥♥
