Hey Fellows Crafters!
I am a married mother of 3 and new to this site! I hope to share, learn, create and most of all, CRAFT!

Hello, my name is Erin. I have been a traditional scrapbooker for over 24 years now. I am looking to branch out a little into some digital scrapbooking as well. This seems to be a good place for me to get my feet wet. I love seeing everything that everybody makes and contributes. I have three children. My oldest girl just turned 12 and I have twin 10 year olds! A boy and a girl. I am so behind in my regular scrapbooking that I feel the guilt. I did start project life in 2014 and so since then I have been able to keep caught up. My problem is how far behind I was before I started project life.

Welcome!

@Erin: I've been doing project life for four years, and I'm also a bit sad for the years before, I love the end result of my yearly pocket books, wish I could have more years, but glad at least I got started when I did!

Hi- I’m Molly and I live in the Midwest in Missouri. I found DigitalScrapbook.com through a friend on Facebook and have just been really curious so I’ve stopped by. I really enjoy what I’ve found so far and actually have been adding the kits to my personal bulletin journals just to Jazz them up. I am a graphic design student and seeing all your lovely creations inspires me! You guys have definitely created an amazing site!

Hi y'all! I'm originally from Maryland but I now live in South Carolina, near Myrtle Beach. I'm married to a great guy named Vic, have a cat named Harley, 1 son, 2 step-sons, 11 grands and 4 great-grands. I love to read (mysteries, thrillers, suspense), I love photography and crocheting. I try to garden so I have photos of flowers to scrap! We have a 5th wheel travel trailer and we love to camp, especially near a beach! I taught elementary school in MD for 29 years (1st, 2nd & 3rd grades) and then I was an Admin. Asst. to a non-profit's Board of Directors, and I got to travel to some great places for meetings and then I stayed on to explore them. I've been digi-scrapping for over 18 years. I started at a site called Digital Scrapbook Place (DSP we called it) and I'm still around. I am on several Creative Teams and love them all! Looking forward to sharing my creations here at pixelscrapper!

Hello Everyone!

I started paper crafting several years ago on a whim. I discovered the Silhouette Cameo and thought it might be fun. Wow! Was I right! I have a great time making cards and 3-D items. A while back, my Mom gave me a box of old family photos. Basically everything was just tossed in there - it was a mess. The thought of sorting through it and organizing it was a bit overwhelming. After some thought and research, I realized I could digitize the photo and put them into digital scrapbooks. Then I found DigitalScrapbook.com and was so amazed. All the graphics are wonderful and this site is an absolutely invaluable resource for inspiration and education. Thank you so much!

Jackie

Welcome everyone! Thanks for saying hello.

Hi everyone!

My name is Julie and I live in Massachusetts with my husband and 2 rescue dogs. River is a 6 year old Pit Bull, and Brook is a 1 year old Chihuahua. We moved to Mass. 3 1/2 years ago for my husbands job. We are both huge animal lovers, especially dogs.

We have a daughter who is 28, married and living in Texas. I am hoping soon to catch up to all my friends who already have grandchildren.

I started using PSP 2005 and then in 2008 I started using Photoshop when I went to college at 43 and earned my Associates Degree of Applied Science in Graphic Design, and Multimedia.

I owned a digital store for about 4 years and lost my computer so that ended my creating for a few years. I recently bought a new computer and I have been right back at creating.

Although I do not scrapbook myself I love to create the items for those who do. I also get a lot of my inspiration from other artist. And scrap booking is certainly an art.

I am very glad to be here and anxious to get up to 50 points so I can start sharing with everyone.

Thanks for saying hello Julie!

smiley

Hi Marisa, I applied for the commons. I filled out the application, I have more than 50 points, took the quiz, and signed the forms. Do you have any idea when I will be able to start sharing?

Thanks!

Julie

smiley Hello from Michigan! Looking forward to viewing the tutorials, learning new techniques and seeing what the newest trends are. Great site, happy to be a member!

Love the PS actions from Elif, the felt and stitches!

Hey all!! I am so excited to be a art of the DigitalScrapbook.com community and be inspired by all of you. I live in Minneapolis MN with my husband of 19 years with our 4 kiddos ranging from 17 to 18 months. I have been a traditional scrapbooker since 2002 but the past 4 years have been using apps on my phone/iPad to stay current. I do love hybrid scrapbooking occasionally also. I use the Project Life app, Over, and MOLDIV to create my “digital” pages. They are simple and quick but I love the end result.

Hi my name is Cheryl Rasmussen Chandler, I am 70yo and live in Western Australia, I design Scrap Kits and do Creative Tagging, I live with my daughter and Grandson, and about to become a great grandmother in about another 20weeks. thankyou Marisa for your genorousity in DigitalScrapbook.com.
Regards Cheryl

Welcome everyone! Thanks for saying hello smiley

Hello DigitalScrapbook.com community!

We are Alaskans and we are stuck inside during the winter often so scrapbooking keeps us sane. Summertime we won't be around much because there is no time to sit down or use screen devices.

Love the free focus of this site and hope to one day add some free awesomeness.

Sounds like a fun family Cheryl! Thanks for saying hello.

Hey gang! I'm Eric Fuentes. I am a scrapbooking enthusiast and live in the Great Pacific Northwest of the U.S. Portland is my home now, for 8 years. I grew up in a town called Oxnard, North of Los Angeles. I got into digital scrapbooking by accident. I love photography but my passion is storytelling in all forms. I look forward to partaking in forum topics, learning from each other and sharing our projects with one another! Happy Scrapping! img]https://www.instagram.com/p/Bkzh1S2g-64/[/img]

Hi everyone! I'm Cynthia and I'm a lifelong Missourian, for nearly 50 years. I started scrapbooking 14 years ago, created several scrapbooks for other people (only a few pages for myself), then life got crazy and I went on a 10 year hiatus. During that time, my hard drive died a horrendous death and I lost all of my programs and tons of photos. Then we switched from Macs to PCs, as my son was starting school and that's what was required. During the past four years, I got divorced (hurrah!) and had three small strokes (boo!). Now I am disabled and bored to tears, which is a perfect time to revisit old hobbies and bring them back to life. So here I am, learning new programs for scrapbooking, fluffing up all those photos that have done nothing but sit on hard drives, and I am grabbing my moms hand and taking her along this time by teaching her digital scrapping too. I'm planning on combining my drive to document our families heritage and my need to create and make scrapbook albums to pass down through the years. Hopefully I'll create something unique and informative at the same time. I really love this site and enjoy seeing what everyone is creating!

Hello! I'm Karen and I live in Vancouver, Washington, USA. Or, as we like to say around here, Vancouver (not B.C.), Washington (not D.C.), across the Columbia River from Portland (not Maine). smiley My husband and I foster cats as well as have our forever cats. I teach Norwegian to children and adults, but also have a small business doing papercrafting and digital collage work. I've been papercrafting all my life, thanks to my mother's love of crafts and a home where I was encouraged to be an artist, no matter what the results were. I haven't done that much digital scrapbooking or using templates, so I'm excited to use some of the templates on here with digital paper I've collected and some of my own photography. I also am the author of two children's books.

Hi! I'm Nancy Burke and I live in Idaho. smiley
I have been a traditional paper scrapper for about 17-18 years- working in that industry as Certified Professional Demonstrator/Teacher/Author with a few published books and magazines here and there.
I initially started out working as a lettering instructor years ago at various local brick and mortar scrapbooking stores. This led to opportunities to work for several traditional scrapbooking publications and various paper manufacturers in different capacities. I was able to work from home while my two daughters were still very young. I also attending CHA for 12 years as a Designer Member and Professional Demonstrator for the various different paper manufacturers.
Eventually, I got burnt out from all the deadlines, etc, and decided I needed to step away from the scrapbooking industry as a career and focus on my two daughters, who were now busy teenagers, and my husband who had just started his own technical engineering company. I also began volunteering as a Court Advocate for domestic and sexual abuse victims. Between family and my volunteer work, I just didn't have time for traditional scrapbooking anymore even if I was no longer doing it as my "job".
Then, two years ago, I stepped down from my volunteer duties due to exhaustion (domestic abuse advocacy takes a lot out of you- mentally and physically) and recurring illnesses. After further testing, I was diagnosed in May 2017 with breast cancer and found to have the genetic markers that would eventually result in ovarian, uterine and cervical cancers as well. After 6 surgeries in two years (tumor removal, complete mastectomy, reconstructive and preventative hysterectomy), I am finally starting to feel like my old self and was looking forward to traditional paper scrapbooking again, until...
Two months ago (November 2018), I tore my quadricep muscle...and tore it good. smiley
Unable to stand (which is how I scrapbook in the traditional sense), being given strict instruction to "stay off of it" while waiting for the approval to start physical therapy, I decided to give digital scrapbooking a try. A makers gotta make! Although there is a bit of a learning curve and the methods to achieve the same "look" as an end result are as different night and day, I have been opened up to a whole new world where I can create and design anything I want in any color, pattern, etc! The possibilities are literally endless!!! And since I clearly have too much time on my hands, and a new addiction to cold brew coffee, I have created 20 digital scrapbooking pages here on my trusty desktop in the past month, reading and learning everything I can about it along the way (thank God for YouTube "how to's") with no intention of slowing down!
Of course, my husband being a savvy tech genius, and knowing that when I decide to do something, I do it 110%, has just ordered me the best graphics laptop with the largest screen known to man so that I can take my new passion of digi scrapbooking anywhere, anytime! Oh the possibilities! (I'm seriously like a kid at Christmas waiting for Santa while my new laptop takes FOR-EH-VER to get here!) I wish I would have had this epiphany about digi scrapbooking years ago, but I believe everything happens where and when for a reason. Regardless, I fell in love and here we are! I am looking forward to this whole 'new-to-me' frontier of digi scrapping and meeting other amazing, talented, and inspiring designers along the way as we preserve memories and document life. Yay! You're still reading! Thanks so much!

Thanks for saying hello!

@Karen & Eric: So glad to have some fellow Pacific Northwesters say hello!

@Cynthia: Sorry for your illnesses, but glad it brought you to digital scrapbooking!

@Nancy: I also used to be a paper scrapbooker, and switched to digital when I was traveling too much to keep that hobby up. Now I do both a little obsessively. I like both mediums for different reasons, the processes appeal to different parts of my personality.
