WLM 2019 - Brushes

I don't know about you, but I have a big collection of brushes and I often forget to use them. If you have a usual go-to set, this is a good opportunity to use a brush set languishing unused.

More Details

  1. See here for more details on the WLM challenge.
  2. Challenge ends when February does.
  3. You may enter as many layouts as you'd like for a challenge, but please only post your layout to one challenge.
  4. You must tag your layouts with these two tags: wlm 2019, wlm 2019 brushes
  5. See entered layouts here.
  6. See updated rules here.
  7. Link your layout here in the forum to your gallery. Doing this makes it much easier for others to find your layout and smiley or comment on it. If you don't know how to do this there is a great tutorial here.

I love the "blended" effect that brushes create, but like Marisa I forget to use them. Much of my work is Creative Team work so I have to stay true to the kit... but on this I was having fun! I used Janet Scotts TOOLBOX PAINT to create the border, then clipped Jessica Dunn's rich plaid paper (love her plaids!!!) to the distressed border. Two blended accent pieces from Jessica Dunn's WARM AND WOODSY helped create the snowy background, along with Marisa Lerin's STAMPED BRUSH No 9, and a style from Mommyish Designs. Photos are by my friend Pat Kirk who allows me to share ... since I haven't seen REAL snow at home since 2010!

I've always been encouraged to express myself creatively. Growing up, I always had access to paper, paints, drawing & coloring tools, real clay, play clay, beads, confetti, glitter, stamps, embossing powder, and many other interesting tools with which to experiment.
I used a star brush that came with Gimp along with elements from Marisa Lerin, Melo Vrijhof, and Holly Wolf Scraps.
