Pick a color scheme and I'll give you a daily prompt to create something. By the end of the month you'll have a finished kit! Feel free to do which ever prompts you'd like, completing a mini kit is great too!
In this thread you may post:
- Questions and comments on completing each asset.
- Finished assets and/or templates. You may of course post small thumbnail images if you are saving the finished product for something.
- I'll post a new thread each week so that things don't get too out of hand.
- Don't worry if you're behind or starting in the middle, feel free to share whatever you make.
June 2013 Kit Challenge Themes
I'm thinking papers for the free spaces (depending on your theme you may want some special patterns), but really it's up to you and what you want to do:
Sat, June 15 - Free
Sun, June 16 - Free
Mon, June 17 - Free
Tues, June 18 - Free
Wed, June 19 - Solid Paper
Thur, June 20 - Ribbons
Fri, June 21 - Fasteners
Awesome! I've never made any fasteners so this will challenge me. Thanks!
To go along with that Fun House Idea, I'm working on some illusion-type papers. Here's one that I included in the free choices.
I thought that I had plenty of papers so far so for my free choice for the 15th I made this:

With the bright colors in my kit, I decided to add glitter papers.

Chickie - That looks AWESOME!!!! I would love to learn how to do this one to put something similar in my kit. Wow..
I had a late start on this challenge, but over the past week I have been able to catch up. I'd love any feedback you can give since this is my first ever kit. I would love advice on how to improve.

Chickie I agree with April your design is amazing and I also would like to know how you did it.
Vanessa I love the felt look of the flowers and would like to know how you did that too.
Are there any tutorials showing how to do some of this stuff??
I also want to say I love what you each have done.

This still needs some tweaking, but I wanted to share it anyway so that I might get some suggestions on how to improve it. I drew out some fitness doodles on paper and scanned them. Then I used watercolor brushes to color it. It doesn't look quite right to me. Everyone knows what doodled elements look like, so if you know how to get that look please let me know! =D
@ Sharron - For the felt flower I used flower shaped custom shapes on separate layer. Then I applied a felt pattern to each layer. Then I put a color overlay over the felt patterns. Then I just added a small drop shadow to simulate depth. There are probably better ways out there to make them. This is just how I did it. You should go to youtube.com and search for digital scrapbooking tutorials. There is a lot of useful things on there.
Thank you for the information. I have never tried youtube but will definitely take a look.
I love making my own stuff whenever I can.
@Vanessa, Your designs are awesome! I think the sneaker looks great like it is! I would just extract it from the white background and make it into a sticker or something. It is an awesome doodle, and I like your vectors too!!
I am seriously bit behind. But here are the missing papers .

Week 3 goodies.
@ Sharron - No problem! You are very welcome. You can find all kinds of great tutorials online in different places.
@ Sheila - Thank you! I was thinking the same thing for the doodles I sketched out - making them into sticker. I don't know why the white background is showing up like that. I converted the drawing to a brush first and then stamped it and painted behind it with watercolor brushes. I can just erase it though I suppose. Thank you so much for the feedback!
@ Isa - I love all of your music papers!
@ Chickie - The buttons/flairs and stars are awesome! Did you just use a layer style to get the glossy button effect?
@ Elizabeth - Great job on your elements! I love your color scheme too. =P
