Welcome all! Thanks for saying hello!

I hope everything goes well on your move Michelle!

Hi. My name is Sonia. I am French but moved to Canada 15 years ago. I have two children, aged 10 and 12 (ooooh, time flies!).
I started paper scrapping in 2006 and got completely hooked ever since. I discovered digital scrapbooking 4 years after and immediately fell in love with all the advantages, especially when it comes to keeping my creating area a bit tiddy (I was a REALLY messy paper scrapper!). I have plunged into the designing part of scrapbooking about three months ago as Scrapyrus Designs and I am enjoying it very much, although it is sometimes difficult to balance it with my family and my professional lives (I am an executive in the pharmaceutical industry). I love Marisa's creations and have already used a few in my designs.
Sonia.

Hello Sonia, welcome! I guess all the designers have the same problem... well, I´m a stay-at-home wife and my hubby and friends are complaining that I´m dedicating to much time to design...

Just found this site today and am just starting to look around. Anyway, I am 27 years old, married for 7 years, and a stay at home Mom to 3 boys whose ages are between 4 and 8 and a baby girl who is almost 2. I am expecting our 5th baby this September (a boy). Landed on this page when I was searching for paper and layouts for scrapbooking my children! I have always loved paper scrapbooking but am looking into digital as I think it could save me a lot of time...and mess : )

Hi - I found you about 2 weeks ago while looking for digital paper to use in card making. I've done traditional scrapbooking in the past but am very far behind in the process and wondering if digital scrapbooking might be an option to explore. I'm here to learn more. I'm 57, married 31 years to my best friend and have 2 great kids (ages 28 and 26)who both got married this Spring. I live in Texas and do lots of crafts, mostly yarn related.

Would welcome suggestions on where to learn the basics of digital scrapbooking. Also interested to know what you do with your finished digital pages - do you print and insert into a scrapbook, have a book printed of your pages or just print the parts you want to use for traditional scrapbooking (I suspect you do all three)... Arlene in TX <><

Hi, from the land of central Arkansas!

I'm Cindy and am addicted to digital. I was tricked into traditional paper card making and loved it. I had tried scrapping before that and it really stank. LOL I was doing things on the computer that I didn't KNOW was digital scrapbooking at the time, and I can't say it was very good, but it was better than my paper scrapping. I've improved in both areas over the years, but I still consider myself a novice, especially when I see other people's work and how good it is. But I have fun creating and continue to learn.

I'm 63, married for 44 years, have 2 sons with families of their own (5 grandkids) in Illinois (where we are from originally), and now we have canine and feline kids living with us.

I'm not sure WHEN I found this site, but joined and lurked for at LEAST a couple of months. hmmmm.. probably longer.

You have a fantastic site! Thank you for creating it and putting so much of yourself into it. Has GOT to be a lot of work. FUN work, but still work. smiley

Hi I'm Isabel and I live in Bogota, Colombia. I've been a follower of this site for a while but my engish isn't good so I am not as participative as I'd like to. I'm 32 and I love Scrapping which is not very well-known in my country. I'm a teacher, literature teacher; but now I'm starting in the design world as it always was my dream... well I'm glad of being here and I hope you can understand me (for my bad grammar smiley

Hi! i'm Heidi, from Michigan. I started out paper scrapping about 11 years ago when I found out I was pregnant with my son. I was caught Hook, line and sinker! Lived for scrapping... Then I tried my hand at Digi scrapping a little over a year ago... and I'm Hooked once again! LOL.

Cant wait to look around some more and see what all the excitement is about here.

Hi, my name is Nerissa Alford. I don't quite remember how I stumbled upon this website (Pinterest perhaps) but am glad to have found it.

I am a military spouse, mom, & artist. We have been lucky to live abroad & travel. Our family currently lives in Turkey. I have a day job I absolutely love - I'm a digital designer, webmaster, social media poster & photographer on base. In addition to digital design & photography I also create jewelry & mixed media canvases.

Thanks for allowing me to share a part of my world.

Hello guys smiley

I'm a 17-year-old girl from Vietnam ❀◕ ‿ ◕❀
I love making handmade cards, scrapbooking... xDDD
I've just found out this amazing website. Glad to know you guys!!

Welcome everybody!

@Arlene: You´re right. We do all three. I also print some of my pages in 45x45 cm banners and hang then on my house. My craft-room door, for example, has a banner of a page I made for the first b-day of my oldest cat, whose name is Messy, and the title is "I´m proud to be Messy", what suits pretty well with my craft room, lol. Try the tutorials part of this forum for some basic ideas on how to use photoshop/PSE for digital scrapbooking.

@Izabel: You´re understandable, don´t worry. My grammar isn´t good too (I´m brazilian) and I´m even a moderator, lol.

Wow! So many new faces! Thanks everyone for saying hello!

Hi I'm Meghan. I have been scrapbooking since college. I got into digital scrapbooking after my first daughter was born (mom of two beautiful girls) it was fun creating her first year scrapbook this way, and I haven't looked back since. Now I also use it for my etsy store where I sell invitations www.etsy.com/shop/mememommydesigns. I am also a Family and Consumer Science teacher at the high school level. Creativity is just in my blood. So excited to have found this site.

It's nice to see so many new faces, from all across the world smiley @Michelle, you sound a LOT like me with your hobbies. you're also the only person I've seen on here who is also 23. Welcome everyone.

Hi, my name is Kelli and I am 27 years old. I live in Michigan and studied at the University of Michigan for Psychology and Criminal Justice (holding a Bachelors and eventually my Masters). I have a large family with all the women being artistically inclined. I never felt that creative, as I was more of a scholarly, bookish sort.
I started scrapbooking young and only just started my niche of card making. When I peeked into digital scrapbooking I was in my element, as I love to be creative on computer. I have caught up to my family in terms of creativity and hope to someday be equal *smile*.
I hope to meet and learn from everyone at DigitalScrapbook.com as I have yet to master some aspects down the digital road. Thanks for taking the time to be interested in every member and their journey into the "creative jungle" as I like to call it.

Welcome Kelli! Glad to help your along your creative journey!

Hi folks! I'm a Christian wife and mom to 6 adopted children (3 from Ethiopia) who are now all grown. I'm an ESL teacher and I train others how to teach English as a second langugage overseas. I enjoy digital scrapbooking, reading, international travel, computer programming, and mentoring. I'm a grandmother now too! It was my granddaughter's birth 7 months ago that gave me a reason to get back into digital scrapbooking after
about 3 years off. smiley

By the way, Marisa, I loved reading your introduction post about how your parents were teachers overseas. My husband and I used to live overseas when I did internantional adoptions. Two of our American-adopted kids went to preschool in Ethiopia. smiley

It's so nice to meet y'all!

Annette in Texas

Welcome everybody!

@Anette: Seems you have a very cool life. I used to be ESL teacher here in Brazil but quit for health issues, but have lots of friends who are ESL teachers smiley

Kia Ora!
My name is Amber, and I have spent the vast majority of my life in the Southern Appalachia region, specifically Knoxville, TN and Johnson City, TN. I lived in Wellington, NZ for a period of time in undergrad though, and it's the only place I've ever been homesick for. I've been trying to get back ever since and I might finally get to move back next year if my doctoral application is accepted.
Girls I knew in high school did scrapbooking, but I always equated it with being rich (well really, middle class, but I grew up under the poverty line. So middle class = rich) since you had to have the funds to buy all the supplies and the free time not working to work on the pages. Digiscrapping is great for me being on a budget, because I can reuse and reuse. Whenever I have a little extra cash, I can support the artists who make the designs. Learning to make my own designs is something I want to be able to do.

@Amber You are definitely in the right place! You can download things everyday with your DL and when you get a few extra dollars you can donate to Pixelscrapper and get quite a bit of DL depending on how much you have....and there are lots of tutorials and templates for you to learn to design. Welcome!

It is great meeting so many new people. I have only been a member for a couple of weeks but like the warm feeling of this place. I have belonged to s couple of different graphics groups and the people I have met there have become like family to me. Like Amber I didn't do paper scrapbooking because of the cost involved. So I was so glad when I discovered digital scrapbooking. The other thing I like about digital is I can make one page and share it with my whole family instead of having to make a copy for everyone. Love it all So nice meeting everyone

Welcome Sharron!

hello I'm Becky and I live in Texas with my husband, 2 daughters , future son in law and my brand new grandson. I love creating and seeing what others create. Love this site , it's a great resource. looking forward to getting to know new people.

Welcome Becky! Thanks for saying hello.

Hi!! I'm new. I've been digiscrapping for awhile, but just found this place. So excited. I'm 43 (ugh) and a stay-at-home gran. My DD and 3-year-old grandson live with us and my DD works odd shifts/hours, so I watch the little man all of the time. I'm finishing up a second Masters degree and trying to figure out what to do next. Until then I'm scrapping/art journaling/project lifing my heart out. I look forward to learning lots of little tricks here! smiley

Hi! I'm Joanna and am so excited about being here! loving everything I've seen so far. New to digital scrapping, hopefully this will be a big step to becoming more accomplished!

Welcome everyone! Thanks for saying hello. Glad you found our little spot in the digi world!

Hello all! I'm Tiffany. I currently live in the suburbs of Atlanta with my husband, my twin 2 1/2 year old boys, and my 7 month old daughter.
I'm a lifelong crafter but I'm new to digital scrapbooking after years of false starts. Photoshop is just so daunting to me! Now that I have the three kiddos I want to be able to document their lives in a creative way and I'm hoping that going digital will be more efficient. Time is just not my friend these days!

With all that said, I am so impressed by this community Marisa has built and I'm glad to be a part of it!

Thanks for having me!

Welcome everybody! I hope we have great fun here at DigitalScrapbook.com!

Hello, my name is Michele, and I am Creatively Obsessed.

At least that is what my friends and family tell me. My children say, I am a hoarder of memories, I keep every school paper, and every little note. I save ticket stubs, travel brochures, and more. I take thousands of pictures. As a result, the majority of my templates are multi photo, and purposely simple in design, to allow the memories to shine. A nice group of photos, combined with the right kit, and a template for inspiration, allow us to celebrate, and document, the moments in our lives that matter most. Moments that can be reflected upon, and cherished, in the years to come.

I started scrapbooking in 1998, when my daughter and I made an Indian Guides scrapbook for her father. There was not much available in the way of paper scrapbook supplies at the time, and digital scrapbooking had not yet begun. I used clip art and more to create my own elements for my scrapbooks.

I began designing templates in 2007, and have been a member of several Creative Teams through the years. At first, I made my templates, and gave them away as freebies, to help promote my designers. Then, the shops that I CTed for closed down, and the designers I worked for, decided to retire. I found myself looking for a new creative outlet, and decided it was time to start my own design business.

There are lots of great resources here. Thanks for sharing!

I look forward to getting to know everyone.
