Jordan and I have been trying to think of additional ways to help people in our community connect during all the Coronavirus lockdowns and social distancing that is happening right now. One thing we've considered is creating a DigitalScrapbook.com chat room. This would just be a place where people could hang out, see who else is online, and chit chat (this would be a text-based chat room, not video chatting). Would something like this be valuable to people, or do you feel that our forums provide adequate means of interaction on their own?
One nice thing about a chat room is that we could integrate it with an app that people could use on their smart phones, tablets, etc. to easily chat with other DigitalScrapbook.com members. (Probably using something like Discord or Slack.)

Maybe - if it was something I already use like Discord or Slack and not extra software. I do prefer being able to talk to be people in live-time!
I have to "borrow" my partner's laptop to do zoom ... I discovered that even though my current computer is the MOST EXPENSIVE one I've ever owned, it doesn't have a microphone or camera in it... amazing ... but there are so many other great things, I won't complain much ... a text based chat room might be nice. I have "chatted" at other forums before ... poki
I'm totally into this! It'd be fun to have live events or I guess even just members able to talk in real time while they scrapbook.
I think it would be fun to chat live-time.
