Hello! I Was introduced to digital scrap by my sister years ago and since I have Only dabbled In it....I’m a physical scrapbook lover! I love the feel of the papers and textures. Getting caught up on my old printed photos I have decided it time to start with digital. I’ll always do physical scrapbooks but I’m hoping the majority will be digital scrap.

I was born and raised (and still live) in a small town in Nevada - Boulder City. Home of Hoover Dam.

My mother taught me the value of keepsakes from when I was little. She moved around so much as a kid she went to 12 different elementary schools! Each move she could only take 1 toy with her. My mother only has a handful of photos of her from her childhood.

I have over compensated and have tens of thousands of pictures of my kiddos.

I research family history and the photos I have found of ancestors is amazing. What fascinating feeling. I want to tell their stories and make sure my genealogy is documented for generations to come.

I am so grateful to be here! 🧡

Hi everybody! My name is Yvonne van Sluis and I live in The Netherlands. I'm 65 years old and retired 4 months ago. I worked full time all my life first as a HR Manager and the last 20 years as a financial administrator. I'm married with Jaap, the love of my life.

I scrapbook digital since 2007, mostly to make books of our vacations, but also for the fun of creating. Jaap and I love to travel and we both love photography. Reading and cooking are also my favorite things to do. And to keep fit I walk and fitness.

Wow, so many new faces! Thanks everyone for saying hello and looking forward to seeing you around the site!

Hi my name is Melody. I have been scrapping for over 30 years now and I love digital scrapping. But, I still love all thing paper to.

Hi, I feel terrible that after being a patron for 4 years I obviously have never introduced myself and it's only now when I wanted to post a layout in the gallery and was filling out the application form that it told me I hadn't responded to this thread. I was sure that I did originally but never mind.
My name is Keryn and I live in South East Queensland. I have done traditional scrapbooking for over 40 years (my dad was an amateur photographer and developed his own prints). I started with digi about 10 years ago and although I have only dabbled in designing love doing digi pages.
Up till now I haven't had a lot of time to scrap with aging parents to look after and a grandson I babysit but now with lockdown I am trying to catch up on some albums.
I love all things to do with papercraft and love hands on but love the 'no mess' of digi especially as we were travelling a lot. I also enjoy gardening and bushwalking.
Last Sunday another beautiful grandson joined our family so now we are blessed with two boys. Our son is married to a beautiful lady from South Korea and they live about 15 minutes away from hubby and I.

HI CLAIRE!!!

Hi everyone!

I've known about DigitalScrapbook.com for a while, but never really became involved. One of my designers recently became active here and she encouraged us all to take a look at the site and I'm liking what I see! So, here I am!

I live in Tampa, Florida. I've been scrapping since 2004; digital scrapping since 2015. I have two college-age children, both of whom live with me while they are finishing up their schooling. I love learning techniques and teaching them, creating layouts, sharing them and in general, love crafting! I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and jumping into the challenges. It looks like a great group here.

Hello!

I'm pretty new to digital scrapbooking and it was recommended that I come here. So, here I am. I am have been married to my husband for 12 years. He has been in the military for 21 years and has a few more years to go. Because of that we have bounced around the world and got see a lot of interesting places. We have 4 children and a cat named Tupelo.

Hi Everyone! My name is Sherry and I'm from the Houston, TX area. I was introduced to PS by Robin Sampson, who has taught me about Digital Bible Journaling. Between her beautiful artwork and what I find here, I am a download junky. I say that because I also make personalized journals/calendars for some of the Christian camps I serve at, personalized stationary boxes, and prayer, devotional, and bible scripture cards. I download full kits because it's a time saver and I love having access to so many choices for the more personal details for my friends. I'm learning how to use Photoshop and someday hope to be a designer, but am a long way from that. I don't publish much, and while I'm an extreme extrovert, on my more personal stuff, I tend to be quiet and behind the scenes with them. I am mother to 5 adult children: 4 sons and 1 daughter. We have 11 beautiful grandchildren ages 14 down to 2 consisting of 8 boys and 3 girls. We have no cats but we currently have 6 dogs: 5 girls, 1 boy (the only place the girls outnumber the boys). I have a wonderful husband of almost 28 years, and even with the current pandemic, am loving life and what God is bringing to it at this time.

Hello! I am Daniele ...
I live in the sunny state of Rio de Janeiro. My sources of inspiration are my vast and colorful country; and most recently my 4 year old son.

I am a designer and paint canvases when I am not scrapping. and i was a scrapper addicted to scissors and papers for a long time...The truth is that I always love all manual arts, and more recently I have also love scrappear in Digital form. I'am excited to have found PixelScrapper, it seems like a very welcoming community.

Welcome to the DigitalScrapbook.com community from another Houston, TX located member!

Thanks everyone for saying hello! It's so fun to have so many new faces.

Hello, my name is Denise, I live in Curitiba-PR, southern Brazil. I am 31 years old, I have been married for 12 years and I have a daughter, Julia - 4 years old. I fell in love with digiscrap when I was pregnant .. But I never went into it, so I considered myself a beginner. I have always been passionate about all types of art, I was currently dedicating myself to confectionery, but due to Covid-19 I had to suspend my activities. I got to know the community a few days ago and I am simply passionate and motivated to resume activities with digital scrap. Thank you for all the collaborations, they are making my days happier !!

Hi there .. my name is Ava and I am 49. I have 16 grandkids, well technically 15 the youngest is 3 weeks the oldest is 16, the 16th grandkid will be here in November. I am also expecting my first great gran who will be here in August. I have 4 fur babies, 2 average size female Shepard’s and 1 very large male Shepard who is a rescue and my heart. My other fur baby is also a male and very large. He is a red bone hound and Pyrenees mix. I am always at home due to health issues I like many of you no longer work. So the majority of my time is spent on creative things. I am not really a scrap booker but I am super interested in digital art and editing. I love the community here and all the creative things you make and share! Hoping to continue becoming involved here and start sharing some of my creations for others to use. Right now I am still figuring out the site and how everything works.

I think I have introduced myself before. I pop in from time to time. I have been digital scrapbooking since 1012 when I won a free software program. I have made around 6 or 7 books that I have printed out and given to people. I live in Northern CA in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. My hubby and I retired here from Southern CA and we love it. We live in a small gold mining town. We have 3 children and 2 granddaughters, and 1 grandson who unfortunately only lived for 2 months. I am now doing digital scrapbooking for myself only and no longer sell in a store. After several years selling, I needed a break. I may start selling again in the future but not right now. I do participate in forums, and blog trains. I love the tutorials here at digitalscrapbook.com as they are detailed and easy to follow without a lot of extra chatting.

Hi everyone, I'm Jenny. I have been digital scrapbooking for about 14 years. I live in Ontario, Canada with my husband of 16 years and our 10 month old Westie. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and seeing everyone's creativity smiley

Hi everyone! I'm Sarah and I live in New Jersey. I'm a mom of three crazy (but pretty cute!) humans, an adorable rescue mutt named Lola, and a gray lop-eared bunny named Charlotte. If that wasn't enough, I am also a teacher by day, working with students who struggle to read and I own a tiny Etsy shop by night so for me, scrapping is my way to take a little "me time." I started with paper scrapping when my daughter was first born (13 years ago!) and slowly made my way to digital scrapbooking the more and more my husband complained about all the scrapbooking supplies laying around. smiley In all honesty, I love tech and so the move to Photoshop was a natural one for me. I'm so happy to be here and to learn from all the wonderful artists here!

Welcome everyone! Thanks for saying hello smiley

Hi everyone! I created my account about a week ago, but with work I haven't had time to login and browse around. I am a retired computer engineer that now works as a bilingual teacher assistant for special ed kids.

Hello- I was previously a paper scrapbooker but we are military and move a lot so want to change to digital. I tried digital a few years back but did not keep up with it.

I am excited about using Photoshop but struggling with finding tutorial videos on making just a basic page.

I have 2 college kids and we are originally from California. smiley

Hi, I am totally new to scrapping but have dabbled in graphic design, art journaling, and collage. For a while, I have been wanting to try digital scrapbooking because it seems to bring all those ideas together. So let's see if I am brave enough to make and post any creations smiley I have been a lurker on the site from time to time but I am ready to dive in and participate! I live in central Florida with my husband and am a librarian in a college. I love gardening, cooking, photography, and all my pets (many fish and 1 cat).

Welcome everyone! Thanks for saying hi.

Hi - I'm Dani from Washington DC. I run a modern memory-keeping business called Savor Your Story. (Check it out if you have time - savoryourstory.com or @savoryourstory on IG or FB). I'm excited to learn even more about digital scrapbooking from DigitalScrapbook.com!

Hi! I'm Kristin - but pronounced more like Chris-TINE than KRIS-tin because that's how we do it in Sweden, where I'm born and raised. I'm a 36 year old singing teacher and blues singer; I run a couple of choirs and have loads of singing students. My main hobbies are dancing, hiking and hanging out with friends, so that's what I tend to scrapbook about. I'm a hybrid scrapbooker (best of both worlds, right? smiley) and I tend to do mainly 6x8 pocket page spreads. Delighted to be here!

Hi, I'm Maddie. I live in the US with my husband and my dog, but I grew up in East Africa. I'm currently a graduate student and I teach an introductory physics lab. I recently started scrapbooking since I have a lot more free time due to the quarantine. My other hobbies include reading, crocheting and baking. Thanks for letting me be a part of this community!

Hey everyone,
I'm new to this forum and I guess also still a bit of a newbie to digital scrapping, which I only started at the beginning of this year. I'm intrigued by it's advantages (less physical stuff, speed, ease of just starting over, ...), yet my heart totally is in the hybrid world. I love to touch the things, sometime I love it to get messy and I lover going through my real albums.
In real life, I work as a project manager in software development, live in Leipzig (Germany) together with my boyfriend ... errr husband ... and our 10 bicycles. I enjoy lifting heavy weights, growing my own veggies and sewing. Oh and sleeping is my superpower! smiley
Happy to be here and stay safe everyone!
Franzi

My name is Anne.

I'm a Canadian living in Toronto, Ontario.

Some personal information about me:

I'm 64 years old, happily married with 2 adult children. My daughter is 33, my late son would have turned 30 this year. We lost him almost 5 years ago to SUDEP (Sudden Death in Epilepsy) . He was severely disabled with nonvedrbal autism, with an intellectual disability, bipolar disorder, epilepsy (unfortunately medication was unable to completely control his seizures) and an extra chromosome which gave him increased height (he was 6'10"). We all miss him greatly. My husband will be retiring this summer and we are looking forward to his retirement.

In the work world, I was a public children's librarian until my children was born. I was out of the workplace for many years but worked more recently as a supply (substitute) teacher. I mostly did either special education or kindergarten but was willing to take any job (the only ones I disliked was French as I've lost most of the French I learned in high school & it wasn't my favourite subject .) Four years ago, we moved houses and I retired then as my elderly parents were taking up increasing amounts of my time and I needed to be able available at a moment's notice for them.

Other facts: I'm a dual Canadian American citizen because my Mom is a US citizen from the midwest, Dad is from the Canadian Maritimes (east Coast).

I started paper scrapping years ago (90s) and switched to digital shortlv after hearing about it in the early 2000 and scrapped off and on since thens. I took an extended break from scrapbooking after my son's death (although I did do a memorial photobook for him with no text because I wanted to have it done quickly to share with family and journalling then was too painful) . I am now just now getting back into it.

Although I started out with 8.5" X 11" size in paper, after a while when I started digitally scrapping I switched over to 8" x 8" square as I found it easier to design (and I've never owned a printer that would print 12" x 12".) I use Photoshop Elements to scrap and ACDSee to organize my graphics. I would generally describe my style as clean and linear (I tend to prefer straight lines.) I often make my own paper and templates and try to make embellishments. Often, I will use extracted photos for stickers. I find this process intriguing. When I do use commercial embellishments and paper, I often mix and match and generally don't use from a single kit. If I can, I try to do a lot of journalling on my layouts as to me, it's important to preserve the stories around the photos. I've also done pages without photos (because we don't have any) using stock photos or photos from the web.

Hi everyone,

I'm Susan. I'm 53, and I'm new to scrapbooking, but not to digital design. That's been one of my hobbies for many years. I especially love vintage Victorian designs, and designs with roses.

I work in tech support, and I live in Michigan. I love books and reading, and classic rock.

This place is a great resource. I'm so glad I found it.

Hi There,

My name is Jacquie, i am 47, mum to a teenager and happily married. I work full time as QA Officer for a company that produces smoked and melt cheeses.

I have been digi-scrapping for many years, used to sell my word-arts too....When my 'home' closed i kind of lost my mojo. I miss that time and am looking for a new home.

Thanks for having me.
Jacquie

So fun to have so many new faces! Thanks for saying hi.

@Maddie: Are you in school for physics? Both my husband and I have undergraduate Physics degrees. Obviously we are putting them to good use here smiley
