Color Swatch Orange Treat: Paper Pack

Hope you like this summer swatch. Please make a paper pack with at least 6 papers.

@Bina, I really like these colors together! I hope I can get some papers done for this. I've been extra busy lately besides work, with a graduating son, who is also turning 18, and getting his driver's license, and preparing for college........WOW does all that take time away from what I really wanna be doing! LOL

That’s really pretty. And I love the papers you made with it too 😉

Do you have the hex codes or do we just colour-sample the image preview?

Sorry guys, I put up the correct image now.
Thanks, Lisel and Kat.
Can't wait to see your creations.:-)

Fab. Thanks for that.

I’m still battling with my blog train entry at the moment so it will be a few days at least before I get to this. I’ve made loads of things but they don’t go together. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I found these colors difficult to work with due to the brightness of several and the black and white have no room left for texture. Thanks for the challenge. I will have to figure a better method for the ends of the scales.

Tricia: I get what you are saying and pls. don't feel restricted by two non values that are part of any swatch. A low teal could do it.

DigitalScrapbook.com's traditional "black" has been #292929, and "white" has often been #f0eee1 or #eaeaea; these allow for a little bit of texture to be visible with a variety of blend modes, but it's not impossible to texture a full #000000 or #ffffff, either. You can use a low-opacity overlay or multiply blend mode to texture even the brightest whites, and using a texture in screen blend mode can texture a black pretty easily too.

@Bina Thank you.
@Holly, that is good information to have. Thanks!

@Tricia: No problem; helping each other learn and grow is part of what DigitalScrapbook.com is all about. Pay it forward when you have the opportunity!

Cool papes, Lisel, really love the depth. Many thanks for playing along ! smiley

Tricia: great papes, cannot see them here, found them by chance browsing this thread (incl the editof your 1st comment smiley ) on my phone. Your last edit is not visible as is to me on my computer. Can everyone else see Tricia's papes?

@Bina, yes I can see Tricia's papers here, on my computer.

Thank you, Lisel! smiley I don't even get a hint that there is an image....

Weird!

Enjoyed the colors. Thank you.

@Robin, those papers are very pretty! I really like the fifth one from the left. Gorgeous!
And @Tricia, I just realized I didn't tell you I liked your papers-----I do! Especially the one eighth from the left.
@Bina, your papers are beautiful, too, I really like the first one on the left, and then the one in the middle with the oranges on it.

Robin: thanks for playing! Such sweet, lovely papers. smiley

I am pretty bad at patterns so far, but here is my attempt.. smiley

RObin those papers are beautific!! ..that little birdie one..wow

Lisel I especially love the little bltanical ones, and the dots, and the abstract one too.

Gill, I'm liking your papers, too! Don't put yourself down, ok? We all grow as we practice, and you've got some textures there I don't know how you did! I love the rose pattern paper. But how did you create the paper before that, the stripes with the white pixelly features around them? I really like them!

I agree with Lisel! we are all learning. Its a process and you are doing great. Keep practicing. Thats what it is about.

Gil: Welcome and thanks for playing along with this bold pattern pack! smiley

and Robin and Lisel: preesh!

I make a layout with whatever I make before I offer what I made to others. Like a chef tasting what was cooked before she serves it. In fact, this is how I started making my own papers and elements: for my private use. I was probs just too lazy to shop somewhere, lol, or I was thinking it'd take me longer to find what I was looking for than to make it myself. The proof is in the pudding which - at the end of the day - to me is the layout. So what might look rather unusual in a preview can be killer on a layout and the other way around, too. Judging a kit from the preview is not quite like judging a book by its cover but it bears elements of it, no question. Any creation will come alive only with the right pics and the right layout design. Thoughts?

thank you Lisel for your much needed encouragement. I think I really like the uniform repeat patterns you all make so well, surprising since I am very unstructured. smiley
the fuzzy paper stripe is created within Inkscape, which has some amazing filters. so if anyone wants theirs treated with a similar filter, send them to me and I will do it for you, you can even ask for a particular look (bokeh blurs, fuxxy like the above one hahah new word, I meant fuzzy!!!) the image for that can be any format, even .ai, because Inskcape is clever!!
I also have a programme that will do ripped edges, though for that I need a .png file. I am SOOO happy to help out in this way..thank you once again you guys for your welcoming helpful attitude.

PS...for free of course!
