I'm thinking we'll start reading in August, with questions going up every week so we can discuss while we read. Hope you like my selections!

PS Book Club - what a great idea!
I've been wanting to read something by Gretchen Rubin, a book club might motivate me to actually do it.
Well, even if I don't join, thank you for giving me two new books to add to my TO READ list!!!!
i haven't read Great Gatsby since high school, and might actually enjoy it now that I don't have to write an essay on it to be marked, lol.
Haha, I agree... then when we've all read it, we can watch the movie and discuss that too.
I want to change my vote. LOL. I voted for Gretchen Rubin, but now really want to read Eleanor & Park.
aw, PS book club! I think Happier at home is interesting.
We just saw Wicked in Vegas, it was AMAZING!! I actually didn't know there was a book!
I think you can change your vote. Just cancel it and then vote again.
@Stefanee, the show was only losely based on the book, the book is much darker.
It's still a good read, but I hope it doesn't disappoint you.
C'mon Eleanor & Park!!
I am not a reader but I saw Wicked with the traveling Broadway troupe and have to say it was awesome! I would think it would be a very good read.
Duh... now I see it. Thanks, Marisa.
At what point will we know which book we're supposed to be reading??
If you don't pick the book I want, I'm not gonna play!! *stomps feet*
Ok, just kidding. I've been around my kids nonstop for days now... I think their bickering has rubbed off on me.
This looks like fun, but I'm not sure if I'll participate. August is a hectic month, my kids go back to school on the 14th and I have several doctor appointments and other things to deal with. But I'll try.
I also really want Eleanor & Park to win. I guess we'll see. I'll announce the winner and reading schedule, perhaps on Monday.
I do think it's worth warning people who have only seen the musical of Wicked that the book is rather different. The premise is the same, but there is a pretty big change the musical made to make it more, um...fun. The book can be pretty heavy.
Agreed Lady! I still like the book, but I read it long before I watched the show. I don't know how much I would have liked it if I'd seen the show before. I have read a number of Greg Maguire's books though and that one is definitely my favorite.
A tie! We need some more votes (feel free to change your vote if you voted for something less likely to win).
Ok, I voted and then realised that my vote was not going to resolve the tie.
Therefore I have changed my vote but I agree that others should consider changing their vote also to achieve a consensus.
I am checking which one is easier for me to purchase before voting...
Edit: Voted. It´s not tied.
I'll put up the winner and details tomorrow.
