DigitalScrapbook.com is Eight Years Old
We are particularly bad at celebrating our birthday here at DigitalScrapbook.com. Perhaps in part because we technically have two. There is the date of the original DigitalScrapbook.com, and then the relaunch of the site as you know it now, which was 8 years ago. It's really hard to believe that for eight years we've been working on this site and that we've known some of you for that long (and even longer if you remember the original site).
I always remember back to middle school when people would talk about how the jobs we (the students) would have in the future didn't even exist yet. And while I tried to consider what this might mean for me, it never in a million years crossed my mind that I would work for myself doing creative work. This fact continues to blow my mind every day.
Having this site has been such a delight and blessing to our family, and we hope to others as well. Thank you to all of you who have helped make this a great place for the last eight years, and hopefully for many more to come.
If you'd like, please share below how long you've been coming to DigitalScrapbook.com and what it helps you to do.

About Me
Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at DigitalScrapbook.com a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. DigitalScrapbook.com has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I am daily surprised by the turn of life’s events that has led me down this path. If you're new to the site, welcome! Here are a few tidbits about me that I hope will help you get to know me better!
I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!
I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!
If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.

Happy Birthday (belatedly). I only became a digi-scrapper properly in March 2020, but I have been a PS member for a couple of years, because I always found your graphics to be useful and great. I became a contributor this year too and I am so happy to support PS. It's a warm and happy space and I love being here and all that you provide.
I had no idea the details about DigitalScrapbook.com's beginning, quite amazing! I've been fortunate enough to enjoy DigitalScrapbook.com's site & generosity since spring of 2018, I think? It was my very 1st smartphone & 1st time going online. Embarrassed to say I was 58! Anyway, I absolutely LOVE DigitalScrapbook.com! From their Manifesto to their designers & the staff I've had contact with. So, a very Happy 8th Birthday everyone at DigitalScrapbook.com & thanks for your hard work, dedication, kindness, generosity & so much more! You're the BEST!
I do remember the original site - I was new to digi-scrapping myself, and the things Marisa was posting for free really surprised me, both the abundance and quality. Back then I was doing pages for my son's Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Marisa had some great plaids. Now I so much enjoy not just the site, but also watching Jordan & Marisa's growing family.
Great job, DigitalScrapbook.com!
Happy birthday!!
Oh my! I might have been here for 6 years now. And I've been a financial contributor for most of the time. I love messing with digiscraps. I don't scrap much. But I love creating items, combining items, searching thru old digital resources at public domain sites for inspiration. I even buy or download items from here just to study how they were made. I've got chronic pain and am allergic to all of the nsaids, and have taken too much tylenol over the years and had to give it up. But I am blessed so much because digiscrapping is my best pain relief. And it has been wonderful to be able to stop here anytime to pick up a yellow ribbon, a pretty flower template, anything. And may I say -- Marisa, I am in total awe of how much you design, the high standards you have, run a business, raise children, care for a husband and watch over the entire pixelscrapper community! God has blessed you with so much strength and love and talent!

Happy Birthday to you, I have only been a member for a short time, and I make digital scrap kits, I love DigitalScrapbook.com.♥♥
HBD PixelScrapper! I think I've been around for almost 8 years... long enough that I can't remember! First, let me say I am impressed that you can work in the very same room as your husband and also that your desks are so clean! I visit once or twice a week just to see what is new and what catches my eye and to get some inspiration. I love the positive and encouraging platform you have built for creatives.
Thanks everyone for sharing your memories! It's so fun to hear them and think how this site has been a part of your life.
Happy Birthday! I am a relative newbie but love the amazing prints and designs you share on your site. Thank you! :)
Happy 8th birthday DigitalScrapbook.com. I came to you via Scrapbook Campus - I think that's what it's called ( my memory these days is like the biggest sieve ), because you were listed as having free graphics. I hadn't had any digital scrapbooking experience, but I have a Snapfish account, which has some similarities with digital scrapbooking. A big thanks to everyone for being so accepting & friendly, & to the team for being very helpful, & being talented designers. We wouldn't have such a great site without you Guys. I haven't participated in the competitions as I'm a very slow thinker, & very self conscious, but, I'm happy just doing my 1 or 2 LOs a day, & looking at everyone elses great LOs.
Happy birthday! I've been here about a year-and-a-half and I'm so happy to have found this site. I've been digitally scrapbooking for the same amount of time. I've gone from downloading tons of great designs to wondering how I could make some of my own. I think of Marisa saying she didn't know what she was doing when she first started and that idea makes me think I can do it too--and I'm working on it! I particularly like to add charms on some of my pages and I'm experimenting with ways to make them. Thanks to everyone for your generosity!
Happy Birthday! I have been here since December 2012. I really appreciate you all and the community here.
Happy birthday, DigitalScrapbook.com! I am so pleased to be part of this generous and friendly community. I think that I've been a member since 2013 but didn't become very active until 2015. Oh, and I used to download your work which you called assets way back when.
Congratulations and many happy returns! Thanks to the whole team and everyone in the community for making this such a welcoming place to hang out. (Oh! And apparently I joined in 2015...)
Congratulations DigitalScrapbook.com! Thanks for creating this amazing site with its friendly community, lots of inspiration, and lovely designs. I think I've been around here since 2013, so that is quite some time. Keep up the good work!
Happy Birthday, DigitalScrapbook.com, here is to many more years and even more fun. Many thanks for all you've done and will do. Elif introduced me to PS about 6 years ago.
First off...I WANT A SHIRT!!!! lol
I have been coming here for 4 and a half years. I had just started getting back into scrapbooking after a few years hiatus due to college and personal conflicts. I was graduated and in a new relationship and environment that allowed me to re-pursue my creative passion, scrapbooking. I was accepted into the Commons pretty early on, as well, and LOVED it. Against everything in my personality and character, I actually emailed and asked Marisa to keep me in mind if they ever decided to take on more designers in the store. Low and behold, a few months after my timid email, she let me know that they were looking to add some designers and would I like to join, I was MORE than happy to accept and now I spend most all of my weekends designing after my 40+ work week as a Team Lead at La Petite Academy. DigitalScrapbook.com has given me a new found sense of creative success and has made me feel, in a small part, like my own small business owner.
Thank you Marisa, Jordan, and Thani for everything you do to keep all of the moving parts in working order around here! You are so appreciated!
I join in congratulations with the best wishes.
Happy Birthday, DigitalScrapbook.com! I've been around several years, and you all have helped me become an actual designer. I always WANTED to design, but I was so overwhelmed by it and scared of it, etc. And, I'm still not on software that is widely accepted (Photoshop, etc.), because frankly, Photoshop is so CONFUSING and I think I have a mental block about it. BUT! Designing at ALL is a HUGE thing for me! Thank you, thank you, thank you! And this past year I've actually been participating in the blog trains!!!! I couldn't have done it without this site and all you wonderful people!
Happy birthday, I've only been here with you for the month of September but so far I'm really enjoying it. I love browsing the pages to see what others have done and also picking up things I can use in my own designs which is also new to me. I look forward to improving my designs as I learn and to enjoying others designs.
Happy birthday and here's to many more successful years! I'm so glad to have recently found this wonderful resource that you all put so much heart and effort into. Right now I' mainly spend my time appreciating the beautiful work that others are doing, and "collecting" some of the wonderful items that the talented designers generously share with us, in order to start creating projects with the many photos I have taken over the years.
Happy birthday and Congratulations on eight more years! I am a newbie and very thankful that I came across your site! You are a blessing! :)
Gefeliciteerd met jullie 8 jarige bestaan. mooie site blijf zo door gaan. groetjes Bets uit Nederland
Congratulations on your 8th anniversary. beautiful site keep it up. Greetings Bets The Netherlands
Happy birthday. I had to look at my downloads history to see when I first downloaded my first kit. It was September 14, 2013. Wow that is amazing because it does not feel like it has been that long. I needed volleyball elements to make a collage featuring my great-granddaughter who is a whiz. All I did was type volleyball in the search box and up popped everything related to volleyball. That is what DigitalScrapbook.com is about. They always have what I need, if I just think it, it materializes. I am happy to be a Patron. Which one is Thani in the photo above?
Happy Birthday y'all! Love this site, its challenges, its gallery, its community. Because sharing inspiration matters most. I've been here since 2013, but an activ member only from 2 years.
Happy birthday, DigitalScrapbook.com!! I've been here for about two years, after toying with digital scrapping a bit/realizing that paper scrapping was not working for me anymore, and a google search for free digital scrapbooking supplies led me here. I was so nervous to upload my first digital page that I made after joining here! But the monthly challenges and especially the community here have really cemented my love for this art form over the past two years. I really do think this is one of the best places on the internet.
I only found PS last year, in February 2019, so I have only been here for 18 months. Still a newbie, but I am having so much fun!! Happy Birthday DigitalScrapbook.com!!
Happy Birthday DigitalScrapbook.com! I'm a newbie to this site. Although I started digital scrapping years ago, I was on hiatus for a number of years. Several months ago (this past May), I decided with the pandemic to started scrapping again and found your site. Previously I'd only designed a couple of papers and decided to try designing my own digital elements and paper because of the Commons. Your Commons is a really unique community and I've learned so much. Thank you for all you do and having such a wonderful site.
Happy Birthday PixelScrapper! I remember finding the site about six or seven years ago. I had finally been able to stop teaching and start my own business. I ended up using PixelScrapper products to re-learn Photoshop. I guess that means I can thank PS for the half of my client work that is design related not to mention years of enjoyment!
Happy Birthday, and thank you!
Happy Birthday Pixelscrapper and your photos from the early days are a great way to celebrate!
Happy 8th birthday. I have been a member for approx 1.5years and really love what is offered on this site. The people are friendly and the designers are very talented.
Happy Birthday, DigitalScrapbook.com! From my very first download in December of 2013, I have been a fan. It wasn't long before I joined with a commercial subscription and I am one happy camper. The products that I have downloaded over the years are my go to when designing. You always have what I need. I love the blog train and I am totally amazed at the Commons designers. Such a talented fun group of people here. I have gotten so much inspiration from the gallery, too. I can't say enough about DigitalScrapbook.com. Thank you for starting this site and for keeping it going.
Happy Happy Birthday DigitalScrapbook.com, you are a blessing to us all. I've been here for a little less than 2 years, and it has been a game changer for me. It's helped me learn to make my own elements. The forums and everyone are so encouraging. Being apart of this community is something that will be apart of my life forever!
Happy, Happy Birthday DigitalScrapbook.com!!
My daughter introduced me to your site many years ago.
I mostly use the images to make cards, flyers, and lately to make journals.
I guess I mostly make hybrid projects so I love things that are easy to cutout! :-)
Visiting your site is part of my morning routine. Your my favorite part right after coffee!!
About the only time I don't visit the site is if I am sick or on a trip with limited internet.
Although I am either going to have to cut back or get more storage! :-)
Thanks so much for all you do and for keeping the site up and going.
Thanks to all those who share their artwork and designs!
Wishing DigitalScrapbook.com many, many more Wonderful Birthdays in the future!
Happy Birthday DigitalScrapbook.com !!
I discovered this site by chance while searching on the internet.
I discovered a very welcoming community, and lots of wonderful kits that I have a lot of fun scraping.
I do not see my registration date anywhere, I know that I have been here for several years already but I do not know since when ..... 3 or 4 or 5 years ... I do not remember.
But I like it a lot in this community
I wish DigitalScrapbook.com and you who created it ... Marisa, your husband and Thani a happy birthday, because without you this site would not exist! (Sorry for my English, I only speak French, I use a translator, but we always manage to understand each other, that's great!)
Happy Birthday, DigitalScrapbook.com! If not for this community, I certainly would not still be scrapbooking right now. I joined in April this year and hadn't scrapbooked for many, many years before then. DigitalScrapbook.com has helped me to stay motivated and moving forward on these scrapbook projects. Thanks for creating such a nice community to hang out in.
