New Today: Layout Templates #61

I got a new iPad over the summer and it revolutionized my desire to make digital scrapbook pages. It's really fun to sit on the couch and with just my finger drag stuff around and create a layout. I think maybe the touchscreen makes the experience more tactile and therefore more like "real life" scrapbooking. I don't know, but I'm obsessed. I've been loving actually using these templates I've created, especially the ones like these with lots of little random layers. So you can expect to see more like this in the future.

I'm also really interested in starting a digital travelers notebook, but I'm at a bit of a loss of what to scrap, and what to do with it once I'm "done" since no one prints a travelers notebook photo book (that I know of). Maybe I'll just do it for the sake of doing it. But in general I like a little more structure to my projects. Any thoughts? Let me know.

@Tina: I'm using whatever version of Photoshop works on the iPad, which is definitely not the full thing. I find it pretty intuitive to work with, and aside from the missing drop shadows, it does most of what I want for making a layout.

Really like using PS on the iPad to scrapbook. Except for the lack of shadows. Love the Photoshop Camera app that comes with the subscription.

I have the pencil for the iPad but love the feel of it too. I agree, though...the iPad does make something like digital scrapbooking a lot easier and more fun (at least to me too)! Are you using PS CC? I think my frustrations stem from some software limitations. But no matter what device I'm on, I love the templates too! :D

I enjoy all the layers, probably because I tend to appreciate tactile experiences or even the perception of tactile-ness! I'm looking forward to my tablet upgrade for exactly that reason. I've been wanting to try a traveler's notebook visual version of a daily journal/log with pictures of things I'm doing and people I'm seeing. I see it being a monthly thing so a "booklet" for each month of the year. I'm pretty digital, so printing it would be nice, but not necessary for me. I could also see doing a booklet for kid documentation and giving an interested child the opportunity to be involved in making their own book. That, of course, would be printed!
