Fall TV

Fall is coming and that means lots of TV shows will be back with new episodes. What are you most excited for?

I love the show New Girl and I can't wait for some new episodes. I spent the summer reviewing the first 2 seasons and I'm ready!

I'm so ready for all the new shows and seasons to come out in the next few weeks! I love New Girl, 2 Broke Girls, Criminal Minds, Big Bang Theory, and How I Met Your Mother.

As far as new shows go I'm REALLY looking forward to Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well as Sleepy Hollow (I'll actually be visiting the real Sleepy Hollow on October 2nd) and The Michael J Fox show.

Sadly, though I'm a Gleek, I'm not really looking forward to the new season of Glee. smiley

I'd say Zero Hour or Missing, but both were one season shows. It was disappointing
as they were good shows with really good actors. Zero Hour may have been made to
be a one-season show; however Missing ended on a cliffhanger, so we were really
disappointed when it wasn't picked up for a 2nd season. Each episode felt like a movie...

My hubby & I also like Castle - looking forward to that returning & finding out what happens.
Will TPTB have Beckett go to DC & write out the character? Or will the show move to DC,
with Castle moving there to support Beckett? Can't wait to find out...

9/1: edited to add the show "Revolution" - my dh & I really liked it. Glad it was
picked up for a 2nd season. The season finale was a cliffhanger, so I'm especially glad. smiley

We also started watching a new show called "Cedar Cove" that started a few weeks ago
on the Hallmark Channel. Stars Andie MacDowell. I really like the show. It's a good,
family-friendly show that I know is safe for my kids to watch, too, which I like.

Nashville!! Anyone else watch? I'm hooked.

NCIS, except that I've seen stories that Ziva is leaving. NCIS: LA, too. smiley Love Castle, too, so I'm hoping it will be a good season. I like a lot of crime dramas.

Hubby and I like a lot of HBO series. We're looking foward to Boardwalk Empire & Homeland. We just finished watching the last episodes of the new season of Dexter & Falling Skies. There's a Canadian series we like too called Murdoch Mysteries (Toronto Constabulary from the 1800's - very Sherlock Holmes). We usually record the shows on the pvr and watch when we have time or watch them through the free pay-per-view shows. That way we can do "marathons" when we have a lot of down time. Its fun, plus we don't forget from episode to episode what went on or who is who (especially good for my husband).

Does any of you know if We Must Love Cats (If I´m not mistaken, it is from Animal Planet) will have a season three? I am delayed on all the other series I watch, so not really expecting something...

I'm was worried no one else was watching Nashville! I decided that was my favorite new show of last season. I LOVE Scandal too.

Wow. Everyone loves so many different shows. I love Big Bang Theory and Duck Dynasty.

I love Duck Dynasty! Jep looks exactly like my uncle and it's a little scary haha.

You've mentioned some more of my favorites! I'm also looking forward to see what happens on Castle this season, and I'm curious for the last season of HIMYM as well. And as a former student of physics, I have to love Big Bang Theory!

Thanks for the Murdoch Mysteries recommendation Cat. I think I'll check that one out.

Also, I feel like now that we're integrating back into American culture I need to watch Duck Dynasty...

Downton Abbey!

I'm looking forward to Revenge (ABC) starting. They've been doing commercials for it
showing the first 60 seconds and it looks like they will be off to a Bang of a start!

Also love Castle, NCIS, Criminal Minds and I like quite a few of the programs on HGTV.

American shows we love include Dexter, Nashville, Arrow, True Blood, The Walking Dead - I am so sad Fringe is over but I guess it was time. Not tried most of the others that people have mentioned - there's too much choice and not enough time!

@Kathie: We watch a lot of shows on HGTV, too (Love it or List It, Property Brothers, House Hunters Int'l to name a few). I just love that channel & the Hallmark channel! (and PIXL)

For me here in the southern hemisphere it's Spring TV. We don't really get alot of shows from the US or UK but thanks to technology I get to see things like Downton Abbey (4th Season starting soon - yippee) @ Kelly Frances: Glad to see I'm not the only one that enjoys Downton Abbey.

I also enjoy Bones and this year my hubby and I got Fringe. It's a little weird but heck if I wanted to watch real life all the time I'd strap a camcorder to myself and watch what was recorded everyday. So strange is my way of escaping a little from every day life. Is there any other good shows that someone can recommend that I could look to see if I could find them?

Bianca - not sure where you are or what's available but other, good UK period Dramas that were out last year were "The Paradise", "Lark Rise to Candleford" and "Mr Selfridge". They were all good, though Downton is the best smiley - oh a really good older one was the BBC adaptation of "Cranford".

My kiddos are older so bring on the action and violence smiley

Almost Human
Sleepy Hollow
Once Upon A Time in Wonderland
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Love Revenge, Scandal, Once Upon a Time, White Collar, Burn Notice, Covert Affairs, Suits and the new show Betrayed looks kinda good - and I am a long time viewer of Dancing with the stars.

Need to catch this series on Netflix - I missed the but love the story line

Warehouse 13, although I don't think it is coming out again until 2014 and it will be it's final season. Major pout. Dr. Who. NCIS, NCIS: LA, Bones, Covert Avairs (watching that on Netflix to catch up from season one to where ever it is now. Was really ticked off when they didn't renew Missing and what ever happened to Commander in Chief!!! I know, that was a few years ago. Once Upon a Time, Grimm, Downton Abbey, Castle (but have to catch up WAY up) Thank goodness for Netflix and Amazon!!

I'm still getting use to having a TV, so I have grand intentions for television and then I never watch. There are shows I'm wanting to watch, but I'm worried about
S.H.I.E.L.D because Wheadon can't seem to keep a tv show alive. I love him, but the mainstream ratings don't.
I have interest in Castle because NATHAN FILLION ALWAYS FOREVER
Doctor Who even though I'm really conflicted about the new Doctor and I seem to be the only person who like Clara
I've been told that I should watch Lost Girl because I love all things Fae

I need to start watching once upon a time... the first season o.O

@Sharilynn Marie

ROFL! That is so hilarious! I'm gunna be laughing all day at that! smiley

Glad I could provide some chuckles smiley

I just started watching Duck Dynasty and found it so funny.
I love NCIS, and a lot of the criminal shows. I will miss Zeva. smiley
I got rid of my Netflix now that I have ATT U Verse and I can catch just about any show I miss on my televsion.

So sad that Burn Notice is ending.

@Kay Myers What's ATT U Verse? Is it even better than Netflix?

It's funny you asked since it just dawned on me the fall season is starting! Big Bang Theory for sure! I'm not even sure if the shows my Sweetie and I watch are on this season. We turn on the cable tv in the summer and I have to look online to see if Raising Hope and Suburgatory are still on. I can't believe it is September already! I still watch Friends on DVD and I think it is the perfect time of year to rewatch Buffy and Angel. smiley

Dawn - thanks for the feedback. I usually am able to download some of the shows which is how I got to see Downton Abbey. I'll see if I ca find the shows you recommend. I won't kow if I like them or not if I don't try. And to answer your question of where I am - I live in South Africa. Thanks again. Will let you know when I've watched some of the shows you recommend. smiley

Revolution, Grey's Anatomy, Raising Hope...hubby and I also like celebrity gossip shows TMZ and Dish Nation. It's mindless watching and usually really funny!

We also have been trying to catch up on the last 5 seasons of Breaking Bad, so we can watch this last season!

For whatever reason, we manage to find most of the shows that don't make it (and we LOVE them)....Flash Forward, Mercy, Tyler Perry's For Better Or Worse. And hubby likes shows like Heroes and Fringe, but I just can't get into them.

@Lizanne.....Love it or List It has become one of my new favs on HGTV!

I think I bumped into it by accident one night while trolling the TV stations after
Dancing With The Stars was done for the season...LOL! I guess that's one way to
find new shows...hahaha! smiley
