Dec 2013: Ideas and Palettes

It's time to start thinking about the December blog train! I guess the big decision will be to do a holiday theme or no! Leave your theme ideas and your color ideas below. I'll be posting the poll as well as the Nov sign up on 10/28.

Yay! Love the holidays!, I have so many to choose from, but I'll choose a pretty one! smiley

I think we should do a holiday theme, since we didn't for October or November. A huge holiday kit would be a great way to end the year!

@April:
I agree with you! smiley

I definitely agree that a holiday themed kit is in order smiley

Holiday vote here too!!!

I think holidays with a non-traditional color scheme would be fun.

December?! Christmas?! smiley

oh my gosh I can hardly think about it... but I'll chime in with my concurrence. smiley

I vote for holiday theme too!! With a lot of red and gold smiley

I agree!! A holiday theme would be great. We could do traditional colors [red, green, white, gold], non-tradional [lavendar, blue, teal, pink, silver], or even a blue and white theme reminiscent of the blues and whites of a winter scene.

I also like a vintage Christmas.

Show me some colors!

I like the idea of a holiday theme, I found this 2, they look similar, but they do have some different colors, maybe we can name it "Christmas Time" or "Christmas Season" something else:

Here's a couple I thought were cute for non-traditional:

Was trying to stay away from the colors of Oct blog train. Whatever you go with, I think gold and silver should def be in there somewhere. smiley

I would love to but can't figure out how to post them here!! ??

here are couple of suggestions that i found and like.. smiley

maybe we can name it "Christmas Time"..

I think I finally figured it out!!! Here are the ideas I found:

I agree - definitely need gold and silver! They work with just about any palette.

I like the idea of a non-traditional palette, but definitely gold and silver included. Love, love, love the 2nd palette Linda posted.

I would also love to do a holiday theme with a not-so-traditional color palette.

I love Amanda's Emerald/Berry palette and Linda's second palette!

And here are some more palettes to add to the mix:

#1 #2 #3

Some winter palettes (which are a bit similar, but I couldn't choose):

#4 #5 #6

And some more authentic Christmas palettes (which are again a bit similar, but again I couldn't choose):

#7 #8 #9

@Sharon: i love them all.. i couldn't choose either so i posted all the ones i like..

You know, there are so many "traditional" Christmas kits available a non-traditional one might be a good idea! I love the pinks, purples, blues, greens and varying shades of each with gold and silver accents. But I love Jiovanna's palatte too! That would make a great vintage kit. A difficult choice!!

The last one I posted is my absolute favorite because it reminds me of The Grinch/Whoville, and the bright cheery colors of Whoville would make for an excellent theme! smiley

I also like both palettes Jiovanna posted and the emerald/berry one that Amanda posted

Oh my goodness... So many choices already! I love this last one that Sharilynn posted with the bright colors! It could easily be accented by gold and silver glitters. I am in deep serious love with it.. if it doesn't get picked, I may snatch it up for some projects myself!!!

I love the last palette you posted too Sharilynn! It does remind me a bit of Whoville too, which could be a fun theme as well!
All these wonderful options sure makes it hard to chose! :p

@Sharilynn: I love the last palette you posted too, so many options to chose from.. that's my favorite so far..

I love that green one that Samantha posted. I say go for non trad too

haha I knew the "Whoville" palette would be a hit. It would be so awesome with silver and gold and all kinds of sparkle. I'm hoping next year to decorate my apartment like Whoville with all those colors and glitter everywhere, this year I'm too poor already haha. If you look on Pinterest there are ton of Whoville home decor ideas for the holiday season that go with that palette, I found them last year and fell head over heels in love with it all. smiley

I do like Sharilynn's last palette and agree that silver and gold would go great with all those rich colors. My suggestion for a name would be "Celebrate the Season".

I also love Sharon's #7 palette. I would suggest "Fa-la-la-la-laaa" as a title. smiley

I love love love the "Whoville" bright palette that Sharilynn posted! It's got both traditional and non traditional colors and with god and silver sparkle added it would be SO PRETTY. Love it! April, if it doesn't get picked, let's collab!!!

awww, I have to say that I don´t feel inclined to do holiday-themed on December this year, but, as you all are sooooooo excited about it and my theme won for November, I agree smiley
