My scrapbooking journey all started with my husband.
Every year, i would design a calendar with a monthly calendar grid complemented by family photos, but this year, he asked for something different. In previous years, he might like a photo on the January monthly calendar very much, but because it was so obviously a calendar, he felt rather foolish displaying it in his office past the month and would take it down to avoid being teased. After he came across some Japanese anime calendars which are almost completely posters save for a line of numbers at the bottom, he thought maybe i could do something similar?
And so i thought, and i thought, and finally something clicked in my mind. Why not get some inspiration from the scrapbooking community, and work with a scrapbooking theme? From then on, yours truly started slowly but surely falling in love with the whole scrapbooking world!
i feel like i've come full circle. My scrapbooking journey started this time last year, as i trawled through all the freebie sites for resources to design my family calendars. Besides the monthly ones i design for my hubby to use in his office, i also make a full year calendar, complete with holiday info, for our close friends. This year, i'm making one for family as well. This is the 'cover' image for the calendar i'm making for my mum, my in-laws and perhaps for my hubby too. Hope this meets the challenge requirements - both photos are tilted!
By the way, i used a pre-made element cluster, so this must be one of the quickest layouts i've done. i'm normally snail-slow!
