Thank you everyone for the kind words. This particular picture has given the family a lot to talk about this week- it was picture many of them had never seen. In 1969 my dad bought an old school bus and converted it into a camper- 2 sets of bunkbeds, table that converted into a double bed, propane oven and fridge. Our family of 5 and my grandpa then drove from southern Ontario to Northern Alberta and visited many of the places he had traveled through as a young man of 19 where he homesteaded for 3 years. This is before most of the TransCanada highway was built so travel was on dirt roads and 2 lane highways. I was 6 and still remember the Badlands of Drumheller, Alberta and the dinosaurs bones, but mainly spending time with my Grandpa who I only met 3 times in my life. This picture was him feeding a Whiskey Jack (grey jay) bread from his hand. The quote was inspired from the book he gave me on this trip- A signed first edition of "Wild animals I have known" by ETS. Wonderful memories to say the lest. :)

lovely. Great use of white space, the stitching bracketing the page is a perfect balance to the offset photo and cluster. Love it.
And it's a great story.
