About Me
Short: Wife, mother, traveler, homeschooler, teacher, director, writer, actor, artist, photographer, snorkeler.
Long: Hi, I love to create art and take photos. I lucked onto this site while I was looking for a digital ribbon I could use on a show poster I was creating for a theater company. I looked around, enjoyed the artwork, read the TOU, and liked the concept and community. Digital scrapbooking is a good fit for my need to create while we’re on the road, because the “art supplies” travel easily, it is inexpensive, not messy, and I can make and send electronic gifts to friends and family.
I’m married to my high school sweetheart, a mother of two, and soon to be grandmother.
In my life I’ve been an artist; weaver; photographer, costume designer and creator; director; actor; teacher; dancer; twirler; flautist; web designer and graphic artist; lighting designer; ceramic artist; painter; quilter; personal home builder and architect, editor, fundraiser; non-profit board member; active volunteer; written stories, music, plays and musicals; and created a theater company and acting school for children and adults.
I love to learn new things and share things I love with people I love.
Whatever I do, I do with an all-consuming passion, and then life comes along and turns me down another path. Currently that is travel photography and writing.
My husband and I started a website to share the travel photos and video we’re taking, but we haven’t told anyone about it, because there is so much more to add. I guess it will always be a work in progress.
Lately the thing I wrestle with the most is deciding to create a new memory or record an old one. We’re currently in Hawaii, so creating is winning.
