Welcome everyone!

Hi all, I still owe you all a little introduction... . Although I've been around DigitalScrapbook.com for a while now (probably even a few years) I never been that active, just occasionally downloading a single item. Recently I find myself visiting more often.
So here it goes...

I'm 'Katherine' (it's a nickname, due to my work field and a husband working in IT I guess smiley )
I live in the Netherlands, I'm married and we have a little boy and girl (and also a dog... he's kinda part of the family, too).

I started digiscrapping a few years ago, not even knowing it was called that way nor that there was an entire business (shops, designers just for the cause of this) for it. I just loved to add something extra to my pictures when I had them printed. It was a time consuming hobby I can tell you (since googling pictures and extracting them all surely takes some time...)! Never heard of png formats...

I don't even know how I came about hearing the term digiscrapping, but I'm pretty sure I found it at one of my google searches. Never knew so many people shared that crazy hobby of mine! I came across the Pixel Scapper site pretty soon after that (And... it also didn't take me that long to find out there are other ways to get nice elements or papers than extracting them all, in case you wondered).

I kinda stuck to DigitalScrapbook.com cause I love how it 'works' here. It is a relaxed and helpful community. Most other sites are pretty commercial in my opionion, I feel DigitalScrapbook.com is a place that puts the emphasis on the social side and the scrapper rather than just the financial side of it.
I hope to be a bit more active, like participating in blog trains, on a more regular basis.

(and I use this opportunity to say thank you to Marisa, Jordan and all the designers and moderators for making this all possible!)

Hello to all new members! smiley

Thanks!! So far I feel completely lost. This site is amazing but I feel it all going over my head! I am definitely excited though to learn the whole new(to me) world of digital scrapbooking!

Hello! My name is Sam. I found DigitalScrapbook.com by accident and I fell in love! This site is amazing! Thank you so much for putting this together and to all the great designers - the designs are gorgeous! I am hoping to be able to donate before too long smiley

Hi Sam! smiley

@Cassie, it is a lot to take in, but this place has a ton of great information. I spent my first few days clicking around and just getting used to the site layout. The tutorial and software sections are super helpful guides to get ya started. Good luck!

Thank you very much! I am already in love with the site and all that it has to offer smiley

Welcome everyone!

Hi! My name is Deb. I live in Utah with my incredibly patient husband, darling daughter, and naughty puppy. I have a son also who passed away in January of 2013 after a brutal fight with AML. We sure miss our boy, but you'll see him show up on my pages once in a while as I go back through to scrapbook old photos.

In my "previous life" (ha, like 3 months ago!!) I was a first grade teacher. I have taught elementary school for 19 years!!! This year, I'm taking a leave of absence. It's kind of unreal, but so great. I didn't even know when the first day of school was for my daughter!!! smiley

Recently (as in last week), I was scrapping pictures of my cousin's boy who is on an LDS mission in South Africa. I couldn't find anything that I wanted to use with his first week mission pics, so I started playing around to create something. TEN HOURS later, and with a plunge into the "full year of unlimited downloads" purchase, I had created my first kit which could not have been done without the great tools and tutorials here at PixelScrapper! Since that fateful day, I have created 4 full kits total (2 are fundraiser kits for a couple of our little cancer fighting friends) and 1 mini kit (for the blog train). I think I'm addicted. And I'm not complaining.

I grew up in Idaho and regardless of the fact that I've lived in Utah for 21 years, I still consider myself an Idaho Farm Girl. I love rainstorms, reading, baking, photography, and being with my family. I do not love cleaning.

My name is Megan and I’m a print & digital freelance graphic designer who helps the aesthetically challenged. I believe every entrepreneur, every dreamer, and every person with a great idea should be able to have extraordinary design. Starting a business can be an expensive and scary journey. Hiring someone to design your logo shouldn’t be. **Please, please, please don’t call your cousin’s son who works on motorcycles in his garage to design your logo. Yes, I had a client who actually did that. No, it wasn’t pretty.

- My favorite things to design are: logos and invitations (although not for brides…they scare me). I come here a lot for backgrounds for invitations and design inspiration.

- I am proficient in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

- My birthday is in August and I’m a Virgo. I like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain.

- My husband says I am also proficient in sarcasm.

- I have one sister who is seven years younger. Our husbands have the same name. Their son also has that same name. Christmas is very confusing.

- I graduated with a 4.0 with highest honors from college. After I turned 30.

- I married my high school sweetheart. We have three children. A teenage daughter, a pre-teen son...and a toddler (girl). Most days I cannot tell the difference between the toddler and the teenager. Yes, I’m deranged.

- What I like about being a freelance designer is…working for myself and designing for my astounding clients. What I dislike about being a designer is…usually it’s feast or famine and sometimes clients really aren’t so astounding. Those are the days that make me question if I’m doing the right thing and seriously consider a career as a garbage man.

- I am HORRIBLE at math. Each day I don’t use algebra makes me want to call my high school math teacher and say, “Ppppbbbbblllllltttttttttt”.

- I need to have coffee. Every. Day. And wine. Every. Night.

- I dislike indecisiveness, driving in the snow, having my feet touched, and people who hover in the self check out line. I love anything purple, Biggby coffee, Hobby Lobby, Sephora, camping, turtles, dental floss, my Mac, and Pinterest.

Hi all! My name is Tara and I'm a digital scrapaholic. smiley Actually, I'm more of a digi-scrap COLLECTOR-aholic as I tend to collect and sort more than I actually scrap! LOL I've been digital since the birth of my second son in 2007, and have a card/invitation design shop on Etsy where I put my digital skillz to use (to help fund my addiction smiley ). I live in Arizona, and am mom to 3 crazy boys (10, 8, and 4) so unfortunately don't get to use as much pink and flowers as I would like in my layouts (ha).

I use Photoshop CS6 to scrap and design, dabble in Illustrator, and use ACDSee to sort and tag my items. It's so fun to see all the talented ladies on the site! Thanks to Marisa for hosting us!

Hello and welcome to PixelScrapper everyone!

Hi! Firstly I'd like to say @Megan thank for all of your help from the aesthetically challenged smiley. I sometimes think this is one of my biggest challenges in life.

To describe me, I do beautiful things in my head. You should see the stuff I do and create. Oh, it would make the Mona Lisa cry. However, I can never get anything to spill out in real life. Long long ago I invested a small fortune in scrapbooking supplies but never managed to get anywhere because it's very time consuming. However, about two years ago, I had my first baby and around that same time I was helping my Grandma-in-law (is that a thing?) go through piles and piles of photos for her to give to the kids and grandkids. That inspired me to start a photo book for the new baby to help keep her future life clutter and excessive photo free. After her birth I religiously input all of the beautiful photos we took of her growing into Shutterfly and created one of their photo books. I've kept this up now into year two and it just seems to make sense that way we're not over run in the future. But I started to get board with just their options of glitz and glamour. But it wasn't until I decided that I wanted to make a family cookbook that the thought of digital scrap booking even crossed my mind, to Pintrest I flew!

I took some photography classes in college, use photoshop pretty frequently already, and love to cook, so it seemed like a natural hobby to take up.

Welcome!

Hi, my name is Jessica, and I am a stay at home mom/nursing student. I used to scrapbook extensively in high school, but as I got older I found I didn't have as much time. When I found digital scrapbooking, I fell in love with it. It is so easy to use once you get the hang of it. I found digitalscrapbook.com through google, and I am so glad I did.

Welcome!

I'm Heather. I live in Wisconsin. I am loving what I am seeing so far with DigitalScrapbook.com. I've been scrapbooking for over 20 years now and just started digital scrapbooking. Thank you.

And sorry for the sideways photo...I can not make it rotate smiley

Welcome Heather!

Welcome ladies!

Hi from Illinois (USA)! I just found this site and am loving it! I do lots of paper crafting (ATCs, APCs, etc.) and am always looking for new inspiration and accessories for my crafts. I just moved to a new town, and haven't any friends yet, so I spend my days in my studio, creating more things for my Etsy shop. I'm also an avid crocheter, sometimes quilter, and once in a while seamstress. smiley I'm expecting my first grandbaby around Valentine's Day, so that is keeping me busy with making things for the new arrival. I'm a mom of 2 grown kids (a son, age 23, and a daughter, soon to be 21). I also do ROLLER DERBY (yup, you read that right! Like football on concrete on roller skates!) and am always looking for derby-inspired art and papers (there doesn't seem to be much). I know very little about digital scrapbooking, so I can't create my own papers. But I'm willing to learn!

Anyways, I'm not at all shy, so if you have a question, just ask me!
smiley

Hi Everyone,

Im only just branching out and started with just the Project Life app for Iphones which i LOVE sooo much but now that I have discovered DigitalScrapbook.com hahahahah im addicted.

Hello from the MidWest US
I am Susan, a newly retired university science professor. I thought retirement would be good, but it is much better than I imagined. I now have time to pursue several interests that were on the back burner. One is digital scrapbooking and learning to use PSE. I have done traditional scrapbooking for years, but am a bit of a "puttser" and never seemed to accomplish a lot in page numbers, although always thouroughly enjoying the process. I came across PixelScrapper by accident did a one month trial membership and am loving it. I do not usually join forums. I am more of a lurker, but want to make a commitment to be active here. So hello to everyone. I hope to get to know some of you better and possibly even make a contribution or two. smiley

Welcome everyone! Thanks for saying hello.

Hello, my name is Danielle and I'm heavily involved in digital art for work but love to digital scrapbook in my own time smiley I'm expecting my first child in January and I can't wait to begin documenting their life through my computer. I've loved the stuff I've gotten so far and can't wait to get some more smiley

Hi all. My name is Darcie Smith and I'm new to digital design. I started scrapbooking with Project Life just over a year ago and realized that sometimes I just didn't have a card that said what I wanted to say or fit the colors in the pictures. I wanted to make my own stuff, but didn't know how to start. I just finished the designer mentoring class at Scraps N Pieces, and I have a much better understanding of digital art now and I'm working on some practice pieces. I'm planning to join the blog train to work on new skills.
