Hi, ladies! It's time for another minikit challenge, and I've chosen a Santa in the tropics theme for this one--not only is it good for those of us who wish for winter every time we step out into the summer heat, it's also something that can be a useful Christmas kit for those who live in tropical latitudes or the Southern hemisphere. It could also be used for Christmas in July sales if you choose.
I've got two palette suggestions for you, one really bright and a second one that's a more muted version of the first. You have the option to use another palette of your choosing, but if you choose to use one of these two, we'll end up with coordinating minikits.
For this minikit, I'd like you to make:
- 7 papers (2 solids, 2 themed, 3 generic patterns)
- 20 elements (7-8 themed)
Post your minikit previews here when you're finished; the due date is July 31st.
I didn't see your palettes - I'll check back for that later. In the meantime, I shall brainstorm some ideas for myself!
You're right, Sunny...I couldn't get back to the scheduled post to add them earlier. I know I uploaded them to the net, so I'll get the image addresses quick and get that fixed.
Hi girls! What happened to the challenge? The deadine has come and gone...Is there another thread regarding this somewhere else?
You know how it is, Chitra, some challenges don't get responses in time. I'm going to extend the deadline to the 31st, because I'd really like to see people get something done!

You're not butting in at all, Yvonne--Christmas in the tropics and the Southern Hemisphere is part of why I gave it as a challenge! I try to think globally when it comes to challenge subjects so that the Aussies and Kiwis and South Africans aren't always designing 6 months out of phase with their seasons. (Besides, there have to be more people than just me who daydream of summer in the middle of winter's ice and snow, or of snowdrifts on summer days when it's too humid to do anything except laze on a porch swing in the shade!)
