Hi Lisa I'm so glad to see "new" people join this challenge. It will be my first time, too. I'm already working on ideas for a suggested theme and color palette to submit to my group, when the time comes.
I've been dithering around this since I signed up -- will I, won't I, wanting to do it, getting nervous about doing it -- AND we are experiencing internet problems in our area at the moment -- of COURSE it would choose right now to stuff up!! (I'm using my phone's limited internet with a different provider to send this), so, depending on how long Telstra takes to sort it all out, I don't really know how much I'll be able to contribute to the initial discussions regarding the palette and theme. Once that's decided, I'll definitely work on making things, and will hopefully be able to contribute.
Whew! Robyn, I thought you were thinking of "dropping out"! So glad you are hanging in there - I would really like to see you in this challenge and I am hoping to work more closely with you in the future. Sorry to hear about the internet issues - so frustrating!
Well, Robyn, emails and IMs and such are fairly light on the bandwidth as long as they're mostly text, it's just voice and uploading images that might eat it up. If you start with solid papers and/or journal cards, JPGs are low-bandwidth...
I'm dealing with slow net in this area due to my ISP having a fiber line that got a pinhole and is currently flooded due to a water main break. It's going to take at least another week to dry out, and that's if we don't get any more rain. :p Not gonna let it stop me, though.
