Layout Challenge - Typography - Deadline Oct 22

Mixing fonts (or alphas) can be a challenging thing to do but the results can be wonderful. This layout challenge is to use a combination of different fonts for your title and a different font than those used in your title for your journaling (if there is any).

Here are some great examples from our gallery:

Kimberly Geswein also has a lovely Font Pairing Guide on blog in 7 parts if you need more inspiration or ideas (1 2 3 4 5 6 7) - which is also available in its entirety via dropbox on the side bar of the same blog.

The Details

  1. Challenge ends after October 22, 2015.
  2. You may enter as many layouts as you'd like for more chances to win.
  3. You must tag your layouts with these two tags: font challenge oct 2015, oct 2015 layout challenge
  4. See entered layouts here.
  5. See updated rules here.
  6. Link your layout here in the forum to your gallery. Doing this makes it much easier for others to find your layout and smiley or comment on it. If you don't know how to do this there is a great tutorial here.

I LOVE typography, but I have a tough time implementing it in my layouts.

I'm first - yay! I love playing with fonts, though I'm not always very daring.

I love playing with fonts/alphas- great challenge!

I made another one:

I used an Alpha and 2 fonts (Onyx and Satisfaction) to create my title
here is my page

Here's mine:

I liked the way my previous one turned out with the mask, so I had to do another one for my other daughter smiley (I may do a page two for this one for the other challenge . . . )

I had so much fun playing with the fonts I made a second one!

Yet another one from me!

I have missed this community while traveling the past couple months. Nice to be back!

These pages look great. It is amazing how much mixed fonts and alphas make on a page.
